The Brooklyn Nets are waiving Cam Thomas, allowing the scoring guard to enter free agency, sources tell ESPN. The Nets made the decision to allow Thomas to find a new home.
-could he an option
Someone said he could be claimed off waivers if you had the space to absorb his salary, which the Wolves do have...
But he has been injury prone, and his number really aren't very good. (of course, he destroyed the Wolves earlier this season!).

He seems like a shoo in for the Bucks.

Thomas seems a little redundant with Ayo and Bones in terms of archetype, i.e. scoring bench guards with questionable defense.
I could see still adding a pure game manager/ball security PG as a safety valve/insurance policy if needed (Conley being the most obvious choice or Tyus if bought out).

Conley has officially been waived...

Q I think you are way underrating ayos defense. Dude is really good and a really smart defender. I think Cam could definitely help with some pop off the bench and we have guys that can help hide him on defense.

I don't think most of us have watched much Bulls/Ayo. We shall find out soon exactly what he can bring to the team. I feel like he is going to be playing a lot of minutes with Ant in those minutes where we usually struggle when Donte, Jaden, and Rudy are all on the bench together. When he's playing with Ant, he can really focus on the defense, hitting wide open threes, and driving to the basket as Ant gets doubled.

He's already an elite shooter and smart passer/ball handler. If he is truly as good as you and others say he is on defense then we just committed the most one-sided trade in history and he should be starting over DDV and play at least 34 MPG.

We only have one true PG on the roster now in Bones Hyland, so I expect Finchy will want to bring in Conley now that he has been waived. He obviously trusts him, and it would be good to have another reliable ballhandler...even if his shooting touch is gone.

Seems like Ant was tapped into what was going on.
Here was his post-game response last night to a question on whether the trade deadline was on players' minds:
"Yeah, you know how it is...everybody's mind racing thinking this is going to happen or that's going to happen. I told them like everybody here is secure and safe so let's just go play."
On Conley:
"I'm hoping we can get him back. I keep hearing that he can come back, so hopefully he will...."

Ok, he's definitely coming back then, right?
