Tim, I see Dieng as a C/PF, meaning he is a bit more of a Center, but could play PF to start games, where most C/PF tandems in the West are pretty big and beefy. I would envision him sliding over and still playing quite a bit of C as well. I just think there is a ton of defensive synergy between him and Pek (not as much so offensively, although Gorgui appears to prefer more of a face-up game and can probably stretch his range).

I just have a hard time seeing Flip getting Young and not starting him, especially with Dieng being pretty inexperienced. I do like that Bennett will have to earn his minutes in the rotation since Flip has already mentioned Dieng spending some time at PF, and Turiaf is there as well. The same goes for Lavine. But I fully expect Wiggins to get decent minutes.

I thinks Wiggins starts. You have to be able to sell the fans something this season

Agree. Ive been saying that all along. Wiggins will start from day 1. No reason to start brewer over him as wiggins can do what brew does and probably is better than brewer right now.

I see our first five as wiggins/young/pek/rubio/martin.

Honestly I would start Lavine and Wiggins from day one. Let them learn to work with Rubio right away. Also I think Kmart can provide the scoring off the bench, also Mo Williams and Kmart are not good defenders but if they are with the second unit they will at least get the rim protection of Dieng. I know I will be in the minority in this.

I think we would need Martin in the starting lineup to offset some of the scoring we'd lose from Love's departure. Brewers 6th man. LMAM, Barea and Shved are as good as gone, and I rhink

Rubio Martin Wiggins Dieng Pekovic

Nice balance off offense and defence.

I'm hoping Wiggins starts from day one but with Lavine I hope they bring him along slow. I would think starting Lavine from day one will have us rely on his scoring which will probably hurt Flip's effort to instill what a good shot is.

Starters

Rubio Martin Wiggins Dieng Pekovic

Second unit

Williams Brewer Budinger Bennett Dieng

LeVine Muhammad GR3 Hummel Turiaf

Good for 10th in the West (6th if we were in the East).

I agree. You need a shooter on the floor if you wanna be able to have a functional offense and you need a shooter with Rubio. Martin provides that. I still can't understand why people just want to dump him.

I don't want to dump martin at all, I just think that he would be better off the bench, because he can carry the offense off the bench, also dieng can hind some of martins defensive problems. Also I would be fine if Martin played more minutes than Lavine. But I think Lavine will do better with Rubio by his side. Also Lavine is not as raw as everyone says, IMO he is ready to contribute right now, not saying he will light the league up, but he can play a role right away
