Kat can get 20 and 10 in his sleep, been going that for 6 years on losing teams, same with Dlo, great he played iso ball for 6 possession and hit some 3's, great seen it before also. I'm more concerned and watching for growth in maturity and creating shots for other guys and making other better, something neither are particularly great at in my opinion.

Defensive intensity was great to see tonight.

Agreed. And tonight's performance came without Patrick Beverley on the court. You just know that he's going to add even more of that next game.

Obviously, those two have gotten more recognition for their play due to their teams having more success in the wins column, but hopefully that changes this year. Tonight's game was a good start, but they need at least 40 more. KAT could legitimately have a 25-10-5 season on 50/40/90 shooting. He's that good.

The crazy thing is that 25/10/5 on 50/40/90 splits STILL wouldn't match what Jokic did last season.

26.4 ppg / 10.8 reb / 8.3 apg on 57/39/87 splits.

It was an absurd stat line. And I don't know how it's sustainable without us mentioning him with the all-time greats. But your point about KAT potentially being mentioned in the conversation with Jokic and Embiid stands. Towns has been mercilessly ripped for the Wolves failures when his play was never the primary reason for the losses.

KAT may be more offensively gifted than Embiid and may be even Jokic, but Cam's take completely ignores the defensive side of the ball. Embiid is by far the more impactful defender and Jokic, while not an elite defensive Center, is so big and nimble that he definitely helps more than hurts defensively.

How about the swagger from Ant teling the Houston coach that he "needs a damn time-out. I'm hot!"
About damn time we had a fun player to follow. Love that kid.

If he keeps all of this up, he's a shooting star - a generational athlete and persona. But there are a lot of things that can derail him - injuries, ego, lack of discipline and focus and other weirdness that can come from huge amounts of money and not having the right support system to keep you grounded. So far so good though!
