Lol. Cam, you don't want to know. If you knew, you'd be even more pissed to the point where your head explodes. I know mine would because I suspect that the next highest bid, if there even was a bid, was close to the minimum.
Definitely the minimum. Why you just don't just let them out in the market will never make sense to me. If you're comfortable, match. If you are not, be confident you just gave a saddle to a team.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm still surprised that Rondae Hollis-Jefferson remained unsigned and could only get the minimum when he temporarily signed with Minnesota. And he's twice the player Juan Hernangomez is with a much better resume. Additionally, Jamychal Green signed a comparable deal to Juan's with a contender and he had 150 starts under his belt with better numbers.
There were zero teams that were going to pay him what he eventually got, and I suspect no team would have even paid him half of that either. How Gersson Rosas came up with those contract terms as favorable for this team is troubling because I just don't understand the process. I think out of all of his moves to date this is the one that I find most annoying. It screams "I know something that everyone else doesn't" when in actuality everyone knows the guy sucks and Rosas was blind to it.

The man who thinks he is the smartest man in the room is often the dumbest.

I'm not sure if it was noted in this thread, but I was curious about something in particular and came across this tidbit. Karl-Anthony Towns' 11 assists against the Bucks were a career high for him. It's a fun coincidence that it came in Chris Finch's debut as head coach. I think we'll see many more games like this where Towns is dishing the rock affectively, especially when he's hitting D'Angelo Russell behind the arc instead of Ricky Rubio. Good things ahead methinks.

Thank God someone figured out he absolutely has to be the focal point on offense. We will see if it lasts. In my opinion, his obscene talent has been wasted for a few years now. Towns is damn near perfect offensively.
