D'Angelo Russell says the new basketballs they are using in the NBA this season "don't break in ever".

"An old ball doesn't feel like an old ball, it still feels like the texture is so fine that it doesn't wear off."

Russell said the new balls are an adjustment, not an excuse.

Let's not forget they are allowing more contact this year, and defenses are getting more leeway. That has something to do with the lower shooting percentages.
