I am curious how people feel about Rabb. I know there were a few big fans of him last year and he hasn't tore it up like it may have been expected.

I see Swanigan has moved up into the first round.

Draft express has former Kansas former Husker now Cuse guy Andrew White at #59. Lol

Q I think there is going to be a good player available when the Wolves pick. Whether they pick the right guy is another thing. They have too many possible holes to just pass on a draft pick for a vet. Last year the Jazz traded a pick for George Hill. That made more sense because they were like 2 deep at every position with young players that were either established or had shown legit promise except PG. The Wolves could have 2 wings under contract if Bazz and Rush leave (Lavine is hurt and some consider the possibility of moving him at some point) and don't have an answer for who will be playing next to Towns. Oh and it's not like the PG situation is completely figured out either despite a nice group of talent. They will have cap room if they need to add some decent vet guys on basically a 1 yearish deal like the Sixers did with Gerald Henderson. I know this waiting for young guys is frustrating but I think Thibs and Layden will continue to be patient unless a really great deal presents itself.

One other thing Q I haven't spent a lot of time looking at various prospects in depth but I do think after a certain point it may be a bit like last year in that it's a bit of a draw a name out of a hat as to which guy is going to be the best player at a postion. Last year there were a bunch of bigs I didn't see a large gap between various players. That could happen again this year. You just have to get the right one. Obviously you can get a dude also. I'm up for taking the chance on finding a good player at whatever postion.

This is an interesting article to me mostly because it talks about how different college teams use different basketball and how none of them compare to the Spaulding that the NBA uses. I had never really considered that being a factor but using a different ball could easily have an effect on a player in a road game.

Draft Express has us taking Jonathan Isaac. Looks like a good prospect. I would love to hit on a diamond in the rough in this draft.

I'm one of those picky guys at pickup ball who insists on allowing the winning team to choose the ball.

I MIGHT be a bit of a headcase shooting the ball... so the type of ball we use is critically important.

[Note: And you thought my fascination with Ricky Rubio -- both good and bad -- was only about the way HE played...?]

I think he's as talented as almost anyone in this draft, but he's likely gonna be useless to any team he's on for the first couple of years.

He's SCRAWNY. He can't physically hang in the NBA until he gets his body in order.

Assuming we draft in the later lottery ... I draft Anunoby #9+.

We could do much worse...I think he has a very high ceiling. Unless he lays an egg in the tournament, though, I'll be quite surprised if he is there when we pick.

I haven't seen him play but he is supposed to have the game of a wing right? Ok so he is skinny. The guy is supposed to be 6'10.5" in shoes with a 7'1.5" wingspan. That's a lot of length. That's NBA PF length and getting to be around the type of length Durant had coming into the league. That's a big deal assuming he can actually play.

I liked what I saw out of Bridges in the KU game. He has an NBA body and I think could be a 3/4 combo forward in a small ball lineup and he should be available when we pick if he declares. Jackson looked more impressive overall, but I think Bridges wasn't that far behind him and was very effective himself.

Bridges is an interesting and unique player and has a nice skill set. His length is something I worry about. He has less of it based on the measurements we have right now than Bazz. It's not just about length though. He seems like he could come in and give you some solid minutes off the bench right away. If you are a team with a first round pick I think you would be happy coming away with him. He seems like he could easily be a rich mans Jared Dudley and that would honestly be a fairly nice player.
