But the swap of Wiggins for Russell changes my outlook. Yeah, I know KAT and Russell have deficiencies, but a team with KAT and Wiggins as the foundation has proven to be unworkable. You cannot have a dynamic duo when neither one is a legit ball handler, not to mention there is nothing about Wiggins' game that suggests he can be part of a dynamic duo.

If nothing else, my interest is peaked again. I am interested to see how this team plays together and how it develops. And the change-over of so much of the roster only enhances that interest. So I will start watching again and hope I see enough promise that I stay intrigued through the rest of the season.

Tim - That sums up my feelings pretty well. I'm not thrilled with the deals in total, but the Wiggins swap for DLO, and perhaps the Beasley acquisition, has restored my interest in this team.

I'm roughly in this spot too. I'm actually going to watch a game for the first time in a while. They got 2 firsts for Cov which is crazy if you ask me (2 firsts for a damn good role player? The Heat gave up 2 for Lebron lol) and they flipped the lesser pick for 2 recent first rounders who have some talent. All in all they acquire several young assets with some potential that they can take a look at.

Jim Pete was on Kfan this morning and seems to be pretty high on Beasley saying he thinks he will become a star here and so far local sports peeps seem pretty favorable with what the Wolves have done. Skor North was talking about Beasley's market this summer and how a lot of the teams with cap space already have their guard spots filled so he might not get much more than the 10m per he turned down in Denver.

The bonus of the situation is now KAT has no more offensive excuses. He has a legit primary ball handler and potentially another good scorer in Beasley with him. It's time for him to actually exert himself defensively and become the star he has the potential of being. It's put up or shut up time.
