Who knows what Flip thinks at this point. Heck, Flip might not even know what Flip thinks at this point. It's understandable if he's taking his time and doing his homework to make the best decision based on all the information available. That's what we want. All we can really do is wait a few weeks, and then we'll know. Best to avoid getting ourselves into a tizzy over speculation, which is all that's out there at this point.
Edit: I agree Q, I wish journalists would admit when what they are passing on is just speculation. But I would like it even more if they went even further and didn't pass on speculation in the first place!
Q FWIW LST shared insider info that was from a part owner that said Flip was leaning Okafor and it was pretty recent within this last week. Like it was said earlier for months Okafor was THE prize so Flip might be starting there when he considers who to draft but I bet he is like a lot of people who at some point were really high on Russell to. I'll believe Flip when he has said multiple times that getting #1 gives them multiple options of what way to go. He said he hasn't made up his mind yet. The top guys are close I think it's reasonable not to have made up your mind yet and Okafor is a heck of a talent we all agree with that. Flip said last Friday he goes back and forth. I'll take him at his word. Q what if the workouts sway Flip towards Towns? Lol

Yeah, there's no question in my mind that Okafor was Flip's choice as of last weekend. But that doesn't mean much to me. As others have said, Okafor was the consensus first pick of the experts for a long time, so it's not surprising to me that he would be Flip's initial preference. But more and more accolades keep appearing in the press, and individual workouts will come as early as next week, so there is plenty of time (and plenty of reasons) for Flip to change his mind.
