Same here. Black suit and tie would do it. Extremely boring.

Late second rounder.

I would not trade Bazz. I would've ditched him for sure after his first year, but that guy was arguably our second-best player on the court last year. It would be nice if he had more of a defensive game, but the dude just pulls points out of his hat. I wouldn't trade him.

I'm a huge fan of two way players. That's why I love Towns and Winslow and think Russell is overrated. Shabazz is better than I thought he would be, but I would swap him for a two way player like Winslow without hesitation. Would I trade him for Portis? Not sure.

Is Winslow still a legit 2-way player on the wing?

Didn't he measure shorter than most people thought? I thought I read where he's only about 6'4." And I also read where his lack of handles and ability to create are his greatest weaknesses.

So, pushing him into a position where he'll need to do that more often? Maybe that's why some of the steam of him flying up the draft has subsided. I like the guy... but not as a guard. He won't have to play guard, right?

I'm not sure where the lack of handle and ability to create scouting report came from, but that is pretty far off. His best offensive weapon was getting to the rim and finishing which requires a good handle and is a great means of creating offense. The dude flat out assaults the rim when he gets the ball and rarely settles for jumpers that are contested. He measured shorter than hoped, but he could definitely play the two with his handle and how he attacks the rim. The way he drives to the hole is in the mold of Harden and Ginobili with the eurosteps to create the extra space needed to get the shot off.

That's sort of my point. I'm only going off hearsay here... but the prevailing thought is that he was matched up with taller, bulkier guys at Duke that allowed him to use his athleticism to get to the rim. It's noted that he started to turn it on once Duke ran with smaller lineups with him at the 4.

He was still finishing at the rim at a high level all year. Playing against bigs let him get more clean shots at the rim, but he was still finishing over the guys his size most of the year. Bud looked great at the 4 this year. That doesn't mean he won't be able to play the wing at a decent level. Winslow's not getting drafted because he lit up a bunch of 4's. He played SF a lot of this year. At the end of the day the NBA has more space to work with. Him playing the four put another shooter on the floor and gave him space to get cleaner looks at the rim. In the pros that space is created just by a longer three point line and gets bigger if you have shooters around him. The way he was finishing at the basket all year has me confident he can be a wing and still play as well.

Overseas prospect who might make it back after several years seasoning.

Houston is shopping the 18th pick and Terrence Jones. Would you trade Bazz and a 2nd rounder for this package? I think I would.

No, because we have no room for Jones.

Ed Davis has opted out of the last year of his deal.
He's 26 years old and will look for a long-term deal this summer. Davis has said he definitely wants to come back to the Lakers, but it may not be mutual with the Lakers likely to be after a host of big men in free agency.

Sign this guy up.

I haven't seen Jones prove himself to be so significantly better than the rest of our frontcourt that this would be worth it (and we do have a lot of front court players, including one more after tonight). I wish Bazz's defense was better, but he's still a promising young guy, and I think could be a key part of the future on our wing. If he and LaVine both work out, we've got our wings of the future.

What's ironic is that once many hit the NBA, they won't dress to impress unless they're forced to (NBA rules).

For example, I ate at the same restaurant in Chicago as several Bucks players during the playoffs. It was a high-end steak joint. EVERY one of them was wearing sweatpants and t-shirts. Some were wearing baseball caps.
