Rose at $7.5 million per year for two years
JJ Redick at $13 million per year for two years
Thad Young at $13.6 million per year for three years.

All three seem excessive to me, especially Thad's deal. I wonder what, if anything, this tells us about the price Tyus will command in the market. Maybe Gorui's deal isn't so bad at this point with only 2 years left. Teague's $19 millions seems more reasonable now with only one year left.

Those three deals specifically look pretty fair to me.

Yes we're now talking about contracts in the 15-19 million range as reasonable. Wow.

lipoli390 wrote:Giving Durant a 4-year max at the front end of him rehabbing from Achilles surgery strikes me as a bad move. Durant won't be able to play until the 2nd year of his 4-year deal at age 32. Based on what I've read, the odds are against Durant being the player he was when he returns and there's a not insignificant chance he won't be back at all.

I read most players with that injury normally are out of the league two years after they come back.

Seems like these deals hurt and help us. Hurt us in that the market for talent seems too expensive right now; help us in that may be Teague and Gorgui aren't so un-moveable after all.
