My larger question is why does Thibs continually put the ball in Wiggins hands in "clutch" situations. End of quarters, end of the 4th iso, this play out of bounds. Especially after he has shot 40 some % from FT and done nothing all game? We need to play through Towns. He cannot be stopped, defenses collapse and we get out best shots off of that.
It's amazing, isn't it? Three different coaches in five years have been trying to make Wiggins a one-on-one play maker and it's been the same low percentage play year after year. IT DOESN'T WORK!!!
It is amazing, and I doubt i'll ever understand the thinking tank of this franchise.
The only way i can make sense of it is that our franchise is just simply that far behind the curve in running a franchise. Glen Taylor is stuck with this idea that you have to retain your perceived fan (or personal) favorites for the fan base. You can avoid that when you already have an asset or two who are either much better and/or more likable than another, i.e KAT, LaVine. Now Thibs is stuck trying to create some kind of return out of one of our top two assets (in terms of pay). Well Glen, It's not those times anymore. You need to win games to draw attention. You need to allow people who know basketball to make the decisions - no blocking.
And if you stiiilll really want to pay some player based on hope - at least make sure they relate well with the fanbase. Wiggins is an Eeyore.

5pts or less with 5 minutes to go but I can break it down further (I haven't looked at them yet)
I am very curious about seeing how many attempts KAT has vs. Wiggins in a tight game. Also, how many possessions that run through KAT end up with a positive shot off his pass vs. Wiggins plays which often are pure iso.

You can break it down more with the advance filters. I don't think there is a way to see what type of shots they are getting (iso vs ball movement or how many seconds left in the shot clock etc...)
What makes Wiggins so hard to have on our team is that as our former #1 pick and max contract player, no one is willing to admit (including Wiggins and his agent) that he should really be a role player with very narrow responsibilities.

He's being utilized that way in the gameplan. The problem is his athleticism is beyond his basketball skills, so he gets good looks that he has to take. Either way it's frustrating all around. He just can't make shots, wide open 3s and free throws should be where any player can seemingly grow.
