If he keeps playing the way he does it is hard not to make a case for him. I think he is the perfect match for Wiggins and Rubio. God this team is going to be fun if healthy.

The thing I like about Bazz the most is that edge and has the physical makeup to back it up and even the type of game to assert it.
Shabazz is my favorite wolf. He still hasn't showed us what he's capable of for a full season, but we know that he has a relentless work ethic, and seems to be ok as a role player.
I've never mentioned (and won't) where I think the ceiling is for Bazz - but it's very high.
He's a disruptive player that can take over a game -

I would think a 27 year old Bjelica wouldn't play in the summer league. Mirotic didn't for the Bulls. I don't remember if Pek did or not for us when he first came over.

What has changed for us to have any real hope that AB will become a good player in the league? What has he done this offseason? The guy should come in lean and chiseled and be outworking everybody on the roster. His career may be on the line and he should be as hungry as can be. And if not, let him go and use your resources on someone else.
Being lean and chiseled isn't AB's problem. It was focus and confidence. Who are the other guys that we may let go who have a chance to be a star? Payne, Hummel, Buddinger ....?
That's a problem if he lacks focus and confidence. He's running out of time and he needs to have it or not right now. I don't think things change for him if he's not the hardest worker on the team this offseason. I really get tired of the excuses. I would rather have bet on GR3's eventual development over that of AB. Much cheaper option and just as much upside. By the way, AB's upside is vastly overrated. He got picked way too early in a very weak draft class and so far he's shown that the scouts were overly optimistic about him. I think most first round picks this year have as much or more upside than AB. What's worse is that we are paying first overall pick money for him and have his underachieving attitude possibly infecting our other young guys.

Mine too Leado. I love how he fits with Rubio and Wiggins. I think they could be very dynamic together and a matchup nightmare. He has had a great attitude since he has come. I agree that his ceiling is very high have said that since before his draft.

I said he lacked focus and confidence, so how is that an excuse. THe guy is around 21 or 22 years old which still gives him plenty of time. All the other guys I have mentioned are at least two years older than him and have likely reached their upside other than Payne.
I am sure a lot first rounders this year have more upside including the #1 pick, but how does that help us this year?
Why would you want someone who lacks confidence and lacks focus? Plus, he's been overweight and injury prone and he earns way too much and eats up a roster spot. He's never been a good defender and at this point we have our two guys to build around in Wiggins and Towns and we need guys that compliment them. Sounds like someone we should seek to dump at any good opportunity unless we are given a very compelling reason to keep him. He needs to show us something soon or its adios to AB.

I wouldn't say Bazz is my favorite, but given how down I was when he was drafted my opinion has made about a 170 degree turn!! What surprises me most about Bazz is he appears to have matured as a person, at least publicly in the two years with the Wolves!!
I've become a Bazz fan too, but I don't think he's a candidate to start. If you start Ricky, Wiggins, Bazz, Garnett, and Towns, you don't have one guy who can do all these things:
- Be a ball handler
- Get to the rim
- Finish when you get there
We really need a 2nd ball handler on the court, and the guy who can hopefully do all these things is Zach. I'm not saying he should be handed the starting spot, but it's in the team's best interest if he wins it.
