Doper, I agree that the media might be a little too obsessed with Kevin Love and too easily paints him as the fall guy (just google "are the cavs better without love" and see how many different articles come up), but I think he's an easy target because he is always surrounded by controversy...most of which he has a hand in creating. This has been a recurring thing with Love going back to high school. Just think about the controversies he has been involved with during his short pro career.
-how did he break his hand?
-his dust-up with JJ Barea
-is he staying or leaving?
-is he really just vacationing in Boston
-referring to the Wolves as "they' rather than "we", while "they" were still paying him millions
-did Olynyk intentionally separate Love's shoulder?
-is Blatt (and now Lue) wasting his enormous talent by misusing him
- does he hang out with his Cavs' teammates, or is he a complete outsider
-can he stay healthy to help his teammates in the playoffs

Most of these overly-covered media stories started with something Kevin either did or said, and the media just ran with it. His immature petulant personality makes for easy copy.

My opinion on whether the Cavs are better off with our without Love? Just compare the Cavs' play in the 7 playoff games they have played against the Warriors the past two postseasons (4-3 Warriors), to the 2 playoff games with him and this year's two regular season games (4-0 Warriors, and not very close games). 11 games isn't the largest sample size in the world, but the results are so dramatic that it's easy for many to conclude that, at least against the Warriors, the Cavs are a much (emphasis on "much") better team with Love on the bench.

Love told Lue he wanted to do whatever it took to win including him coming off the bench. It's looking good so far.

I think this might be the only close game of this series...very competitive so far. I'm not often impressed by Tyrone Lue, but his matchup decisions are very good tonight. TT is a horse on the boards. James not playing very well...yet

I like Love off the bench more because it gives chances for him to actually use his skills in the post. It can create an advantage for him instead of hurting him.

Well like I said, I don't like him. I'm 100% with you on his warts. But he was a big reason they rolled in the first 3 rounds. Green is a hard matchup for any 4, Bron on Green with Love at the 5 should have been the play from the get go. I think Lue's inexperience and Lebron making shots has been the bigger factor so far. Love was part of a great stretch in game 1 at the end of the 3rd then Lue yanked him.

I think in all Love is always going to be problematic because he is so unique. Uniquely good and bad. The smartest play he could make is to go to a team with a great coach moving forward.

Totally. He is turning the ball over because he is over thinking. He needs to shoot.

This has been a fun game. The Warriors have seemed to find a bit of their usual grove but it also seems like the Cavs sort of let them do it also. This should be a fun 4th quarter.

I can't believe Lebron is not looking for his shot. All the criticisms are coming to light yet again.

The Cavs are so damn annoying to watch on offense. They have so much offensive talent and they just waste it on hero ball. Move the damn ball.
