Zgoda tweeted that Flip mentioned this. Curious indeed.

At the end of the game Flip went with an athletic front court of Bud, Young and Bennett. I could see Young and Bennett becoming a crunch time duo in the front court.

Bennett plays much bigger than his height. This fresh start he's getting is great for him.

If we want to keep him, we match. His salary is very low and affordable, so I don't think that will be a worry. I sure hope we keep GR3, but not sure he's staying. I like him better than many of our prior first rounders who we gave at least two years to develop. Sure would be a shame to give up on an incredible talent like him and a very likeable guy too so soon.

Young was in there for the last few seconds when it was clear they were going to foul. I'd say really Flip stuck with Dieng which ended up paying off overall even though he didn't have a good night overall.

Yup. Maybe it will be Hummel and if we have multiple front court injuries Flip will just have to cross that bridge when we come to it.

But we even had that group on the floor to defend Chicago's final possession.

He's had a couple of fairly despondent outings against Milwaukee and OKC, but otherwise, he has been the surprise of the preseason thus far in my opinion. I was not expecting this from him.

I'm not sure that he's an "incredible" talent. If he were, I think he would have done more damage at the college level. He does seem like a classic "do no harm" rotation player, with a bit of upside to boot. But I don't think he will ever be a game changer.
