I'm guessing Dillingham might be the hangup for many. That's the one that could come back to haunt the Wolves if he shakes out as a young, dynamic guard.

The other rub is that it leaves the backcourt is even more disarray, but I imagine that's also going to be addressed, whether it's a Jones brother or someone else.

I might do that if it was 31 instead of 17 and they can have either Miller or Josh if they like either of them. At 17 you can draft Traore, Demin, Saraf, or maybe even Kasparus if he drops a bit to replace Rob's expected role. I would have rather drafted Rudy's eventual replacement at 17, but if were trading Rob, we'll probably have to go with a guard.

So it's basically Towns and Dillingham for Durant?

That would also open up a couple roster spots and make it more likely that NAW comes back and would leave a possible opportunity for a reasonably good guard to want to sign here for an opportunity. Still that proposed deal seems like kind of a lot. It feels like the Wolves should get something back if it was that much. It also doesn't exactly guarantee Naz comes back either. I wonder what other teams are willing to give up.

Why does BKN do something like this? I don't think they'd be very interested in the Wolves picks this year considering they have so many already unless they get 17 and the Nets send a lower pick back. Are they just looking for vets to help their incoming rooks? Maybe.

First of all, that trade cannot happen until after July 1st. It requires Randle to pick up his option. But even if he picked up early (i.e. before the draft), the trade still cannot happen before July 1st because the Wolves would still be a 2nd apron team.

Phoenix has said they want a starting caliber Center, so you should send Rudy to Phoenix. I also think Phoenix would love to get out of the 2nd apron, so why should they take anything more back other than Rudy? I could see BKN getting #17 as incentive to take on some expiring contracts, especially ones that actually have value. And they get our from Claxton's contract that is not expiring.

Brooklyn already has 5 picks in the top 36 in this draft.

Also, they're really far under the cap, so needing to dump Claxton's deal is not a major demand unless they have way bigger plans this summer.

Okay, this went off the rails a bit...

You can't call the KD trade info a rumor. It's merely a made up trade proposal by a basketball talking head.

The real rumor is that the Wolves are one of 3 teams submitting final proposals to get a KD trade done. Who knows if it would include Rudy.

Well that stinks! Miami was one of my potential landing spots for either Randle or NAZ…
