Yeah - I always liked short RBs because they are harder to find behind lineman and they tend to be stocky and less to hit. Watching Wilson and Kenuum they both show some advantages of being a smaller QB. (Bridgewater would fit in that group too)

Although the Vikings have maybe Teddy and Maybe Case next year I like Baker Mayfield at the 32nd spot in the draft. Though if Case wins the SB, then he probably deserves starter money at that point.

Lot's to see before we ever reach that point, lol. Maybe Teddy gets back in and wins it?

If they bring back both guys I'm not sure I would take a QB that high. Keep in mind they have Sloter and they clearly like him and so do other teams who wanted to trade something for him at the deadline. I've heard it's supposed to be a good QB draft but I haven't really looked into it much.

I guess I imagine Case struggling at some point maybe, the team letting him walk and signing Teddy to a lowish barely starter money deal (6-10 per IDK his market value???). Then you have a backup option in Mayfield that you can hold onto or trade down the road for a high first maybe, depending on how well he plays in limited time like preseason.

Yeah, if you signed both Teddy and Case, then no it probably doesn't make sense. We have a lot of football to play yet.

You also have Bradfords 20 million coming off the books to sign other players/possible other FA's.

This is one of those big money decision I'm thankful I don't have to make!

Teddy, they obviously love this guy and you have to believe he'd have been much better in this offense with this line and skill position talent. The flip side is you don't know that, and have to wonder about the durability of someone who almost lost a leg in a non-contact drill.

Case, he's giving us every reason to believe, but pro sports are filled with stories of 10-minute super stars who turned back into pumpkins after getting the big contract. Right now if it were my decision I'd be leaning heavily in Case's direction.

Sam, he has the arm talent and football IQ to be a HOF'er, but no way you can count on him staying healthy.

Sloter, keep trying to develop him, but he play no role in this decision.

If it were me right now I'd sign Case for 3 years at as reasonable a price as possible, keep Sloter and draft another mid-range QB unless a top guy dropped to us like Rodgers did for the Packers.

I just don't see a way that Teddy is not back next year. I really think this offense has all the supporting pieces to make a QB loo good. Case has done a good job of keeping it all together, but you can't discount the job the coaching staff has done.

If Keenum keeps this up...he might be looking at a legit payday instead of even the basically 1 year 15 million Glennon got this year. I still think it's possible the Vikings sign both gina bd Teddy to what are basically short terms deals. Why would Case come back? Pretty much any team he signed to would be looking to replace him at one point or another just like Teddy would here. Why would Teddy come back? He knows this organization and he knows they want him to be their guy long term. We will see how it plays out there is some football to be played yet. Drafting another QB is certainly something to consider although I do think Sloter is more of a factor than most people give him credit for. Bradford isn't coming back to the Vikings I don't think he is a factor at all.

Letting Bradford go will open a chunk of change, but I think that's just going back into Case and Teddy. And if all of it doesn't go to those two, on top of that Diggs, Hunter, Barr and Kendricks are all FA's after next season. I don't know how the hell Spielman is gonna handle that all in one offseason.

I don't necessarily disagree, but you also cannot discount production. It's fun to think about Teddy's potential upside, but there is absolutely no guarantee he'll be better than Case in this offense. Spielman and Zimmer have a HUGE decision to make that has the potential to make or break a Super Bowl level team in it's prime!

Edit: If Case takes this team to the NFCCG or SB this season I see no way they can sign both or Case being willing to come back knowing he's once again up against Zimmer's favored child!
