Again, we don't need 15 guys on the roster.

I don't even want to see a Kevin Martin low-light video, much less have him in uniform again. Just a few things I would rather do:

1) Get crushed by a rear end loader
2) Have my appendix taken out without anesthesia
3) Sit through the entire series of Medicine Woman
4) Mate with a 1500 pound farm animal
5) Sleep in a bunk bed under Oprah

Who said I preferred Payne over anyone. I'd take Greg Smith over him and we shouldn't sign Greg Smith.

In theory Martin is a nice talent and probably he would come cheap. He played as a bench player for the Thubder one year and was efficient. Other than that he has played a ton of minutes in his career. Would he really be able to play well playing maybe a couple times a week? All you get from him is scoring and he might not even stay healthy. I like Martin I think it's possible the guy can still play but I don't see signing the guy as a deep rotation player makes sense right now. Is he going to be willing to put in the work playing for Thibs? Eh idk. I'd take him over Novak though just for his rebounding. Lol

so it sounds like their is real talk about a Westbrook extension in OKC. He would get a nice raise this year.

Monster, in response to my proposal that they replace one of the mysterious 3 (Pek, KG, and Payne) with Martin, you replied that you would not advocate adding Martin to the roster. Maybe I misunderstood you, but that seemed to imply that you preferred the guys we have on the roster to Martin. Personally, I think we have enough bigs on the roster and don't see AP having a role, so I would advocate releasing him and adding Martin's 38% 3-poiint shooting.

Cool, good stuff...but I think I speak for the entire board that we are shocked you don't like Medicine Woman.

LST I would prefer to go a different direction than Martin. It just seems weird that he would come back after leaving last year etc. Even though we need shooting I might even prefer Prince to Martin. He was the better player last year which is kinda shocking. If its between Martin and a young flyer wing prospect I might go with that too over Martin. Sometimes the fit just isn't there even for a guy I have supported for years in Martin.

Yeah, I think I probably agree with both of your points (Martin not being the best option, and Prince being a better choice to bring back than Martin). I'm perhaps overly optimistic about our three-point shooting based on the results the last half of 2016 (third best percentage in the league), but I think shooting may not be a big need for this club. But we do seem to have an imbalance between bigs and wings, and there's always a role for a defensive stopper on the roster, so cutting Payne and adding Prince might be an interesting option.

Love the Westbrook is signing a 3 year with OKC. I hope he stays healthy and does his thing.

I thought there would be more defections East. Nope.

Seriously, how easy does Cleveland have it? They just proved that they can win a title by playing great ball for 3 games. That's it. They get another chance next season.

Yeah, I'm disappointed too. I have nothing against OKC the city, as it is refreshing to see smaller market teams in "flyover" country like Memphis and OKC have success, but dammit, why can't more of the elite talent go to places like Brooklyn, Boston, D.C., Philadelphia, etc.

As for Cleveland, is anyone surprised that Kevin Love hasn't been moved yet? I really thought they'd put him on the trade block after being able to win the Finals series without much contribution from him (although he did have a nice Game 7 and generally was effective throughout the other playoff series).
