Wolves actually have had some decent success with pek, dub, Bjelica and they did draft mirotic

Good point, but I am not worrying about ti to much in this draft. We can't treat them like throw away picks moving forward that is for sure, but start making the playoffs and picking 50th I do see them having much value. Not like they do when they are top 31-40 picks

I agree with what you are saying but I like having them available if nothing else take a shot at a international player and it costs so little to do so. Unless the Wolves make a move they don't have a 2nd rounder till 2018. That's gonna save me a lot of time on scouting. Lol

It turns out he signed an extension with his team in Europe last summer so he won't be able to come over for another year. It's too bad he could give the Wolves some girth and 3 point shooting. He seems to have improved again this year. Rebounding trending up a bit more scoring per minute is way up and his FT rate is up suggesting teams are having a big problem defending him. He turns 25 in October. If the Wolves were to take a talented big in this draft they could have a nice problem a few months later with too many bigs with legit talent. Sounds good right?

I didn't know that. By then Payne and KG should be off the books, so perhaps next offseason is the right time for him to come over.

Yeah it's not the worst thing in the world but I would prefer him with the Wolves this next season. Unless something unexpected happens this season in FA I don't think having enough money for Dubs will be a problem. I do think having him as a guy available to them is another factor in them taking the best talent available when they pick in the draft. Obviously Dubs is unknown like any pick plus it's not a certainty he will sign with the team for one reason or another. I would think he would be a pretty nice trade asset if for some reason the Wolves ended up having too many good bigs they didn't need him. I dream of him shooting 3's and also crushing smaller players in the post if they get switched into him. Imagine the Wolves with 3 PF/C that shoot over 80% from the FT line. Nifty

This year needs to be the first time in franchise history that we move up in the lottery. Let's cap this magical rebuild (the third one since 2003, not including the two massive failures) with a little extra fairy dust. I want Brandon Ingram on this team BAD. Not as much as I wanted Karl-Anthony Towns, but still a lot.

Edit: These were very entertaining to watch from Draft Express.

We've given up 103 points and its only been three quarters. This game shows how bad our defense is. We need to draft and sign some players who can play defense. Also Thibs or a defensive minded assistant are needed.

The silver lining is that we needed to lose tonight to ensure a top 5 spot entering the Lottery assuming we beat the Pelicans on Wednesday.

Yep, agreed. It also showed how bad we are shooting the three. 5-21 from behind the arc just isn't going to cut it. Rockets made 10 more threes than us. No wonder they beat our ass.

We definitely need defense, but if we're going to hang our hat on the future trio of LaVine-Towns-Wiggins, it all starts with them. As much as Houston killed us with the 3-ball, their perimeter guys were getting into the paint at will and setting up Howard with a ton of easy looks. LaVine and Wiggins, along with Rubio, didn't get it done defensively. KAT at least had an excuse - he simply isn't big and strong enough to deal with Howard when he's trying to cover up for everyone else at the same time.

So do we get the Rockets pick or not?

I think it is already sure that we won't get it. Even if they get to playoffs, they are for sure worst play off team that means their pick with be 45th. That is worst pick, which was still protected.
