Please, no more teenagers. We've had back to back ROYs. Let's not go to the well again with Maker.

Yep. At the very least get a guy that can play.

Quite a few people are dogging on Thon, but with his size, for what I have seen and heard of his intelligence, and raw athleticism all trying to be just like his idol KG, why not take a good hard look at him? He has skills, but if he has 1/2 the passion as KG and is mentored by KG....I could see the ideal fit with Minnesota. Plus a crazy length starting 5, in Rubio, LaVine, Wiggins, Maker and KAT. Could this guy be this years Greek Freak? Just thinking out loud...

I really haven't studied Thon Maker at any great length, but DraftExpress has him going around 40. Maybe he'll shoot up the board if his workouts are good. But right now he's probably a good flier pick, but not someone you consider with a top 7 pick. Unfortunately we don't have a second round pick now and Glen hasn't shown any interest in the past to buying picks (though I would hope he'd be flexible if our POBO wants it). Maybe trade Bazz for a late first or early second would get us in contention for a guy like Maker, but if McCaw or Payton are available in the second round, they would be good choices too.

The guy that's growing on me the most lately is Luwawu. He seems to ooze athleticism and 3 and D potential. I see he's up to 12 on the DraftExpress mock draft. Plus, France has produced several late round gems including Jokic, Gobert and Batum and lets not forget Tony Parker.

Totally agree with this. I think he should be considered around picks 7 or 8. He is long, very athletic, and can shoot it. I think he is going to be a very good player in the league.

I think he is interesting. All the more reason I wouldn't mind trading down. I am not thrilled with this draft at the top end.
