Is this the most disappointing team

In Minnesota sports history? I know the Vikings have a lot of teams to choose from over the years but this team seemed set for a run with talent all over the field. Theyre not just underperforming a little bit. They're one of ( if not) the worst teams in baseball.

It somewhat depends on how much of the losing you attribute to injuries. The 2011 Twins team was pretty disappointing coming off a 94 win season and the 2016 team was also really bad.

This season is a combination of disappointment and bad luck. There's no question that injuries have been a major reason for our lack of success...we currently have 11 players on the injured list, including our best player Byron Buxton. But we also have to look at the terrible offseason our front office had. Happ and Shoemaker were supposed to complete our starting pitching, but both have been awful. And Simmons was brought in with an average-hit/terrific-field shortstop reputation, but his OPS is the worst of his career and he leads the team in errors with 7 (and the Twins lead the AL in most errors). That's three offseason failures.

Yes.
Was it Gleeman who recently broke this down? The other option was a team that just tanked the 2nd half of the season. This team is already at a statistical pace to surpass that squad... and the selling of vets hasn't even begun yet.

Been dealing with personal health stuff. Butt this most disappointing team Minnesota sports team to me.
You can say we have injuries but the whitesox are missing Eloy, Roberts and now Madrigal. Plus Vaughn has done nothing this year. Yet there at 42 wins.
Bullpen injuries and a shit FA has been the reason this year has been awful.
Even the guys they were rumored on and didn't sign have been injured or sucked
Relievers
Clippard, Rosenthal, Soria, Romo
Starting pitchers
Paxton, Kluber, Odo just got sent to bullpen
Rosario is batting .244 with 4 home runs and OBP under .300

Imagine how Royals fans are feeling. Obviously going into the season they didn't have as high of hopes as we did for the Twins but they started out hot really playing well then dropped off then got back above .500 and then dropped big time again and are now down even with the Twins. Since being up 3 games over .500 on June 4 they have won 4 of their last 22 games.
