What are people's thoughts about the draft likely going to just 5 rounds? I get shortening it but 5 rounds?!?!??? Is this going to be temporary or is it just gonna be a bunch if I drafted guys getting their shot through unstaffed FA etc going forward? I could see that being a benefit to some players as they can kinda pick what organization they feel is best for them. How will that end up affecting how players come up through the system and affect service time etc? Right now it probably won't change but you wonder if this is a way the players get some leverage in the next CBA. How crowded is the college ranks gonna be this coming year with hardly anyone being drafted and an extra year of eligibility?

It will be interesting. It is really hard on baseball in general. I hope there is a season in some fashion, but not sure if they play minor league ball. It will be a year of lost development and progress for players. Then there is drafting players without a college or high school season. CRAZY!!!
