Twins sign Marwin Gonzalez. If Willians Astudillo doesn't make the team I will be pissed and boycott.

I was just looking up who has minor league options. Astudillo does seem to have options. When it comes to position players the Twins have created quite the competition. Not all of the players are high end but it's gonna be interesting. Someone is gonna get hurt and struggle or be out for a while.

I think this means Adrianza gets DFA but who knows. Excellent Savy pick up though.

I thought this was literally going to be about my dad but even he (or my mother in law) isn't this bad. Lol

Buxton seems to be on fire.
Gonsalves has some more velocity.

Good news coming out of spring training.

Hated the trade that sent him away. That backup catcher was worthless and overall the Twins got fleeced there.

I still think it's a somewhat defensible trade based on the value the players had at the time. Hicks (I still had some faith he was going to become a better player than he had shown with the Twins) was continually sort of scuffling along one way or another. The trade may have been good for him in a way. The Twins had no prospects at catcher and Murphy hadn't even turned 25 yet and had had some solid success at the major league level. Fortunately the Twins cut bait on Murrphy and got Moya back who has some sort of promise. Hicks had a poor overall first year at the plate with the Yankees and still struggles with staying healthy. Obviously I'd rather have him on the Twins than not at this point.
