Wolves open up with a win.
Luka Garza 30/8/5
Minott 23/12
Moore 17/3/5 3 of 7 from 3
This team is going to be fun

Very encouraging start, especially by Minott who is the biggest wildcard of the this group. Luka has an NBA offensive game, just not sure about his defense. But could he become what Kevin Love is now to the Cleveland Cavs? I guess Reid is doing a pretty good job of that!

Another easy win for Iowa today. Garza led the way once again with 22 points in only 28 minutes and was a +24 while on the floor. He only had to take 12 shots. The guy is just a machine on offense.

Looks like Minott and Moore both solid once again. See Dozier got minutes today.
Garza is a stud.

Yeah, some really intriguing talent down there this year. Moore Jr., Mudiay, Dozier. Garza, Minott. Just such an interesting mix of NBA vets and young guys.
BTW, Moore, Jr. is essentially sharing PG duties with Mudiay. The Wolves are trying their best to mold this kid into a PG or secondary play maker.

Preparing for life after DLO next season? Or perhaps the second half of this season? Starting JMac with Moore or Mudiay as backup?

Perhaps, but I still think Moore and Mudiay are kind of long shots. Mudiay has already bounced around the NBA and never really did much. And Moore, while showing some promise in Iowa, looks out of place when on the floor with real NBA players. That's not to say the team shouldn't be doing everything possible to identify and develop talent. It's good to have multiple irons in the fire.

Watched all of the Iowa squad's game today. Wendell Moore, Jr. is boring as hell, but is sneaky effective at the G-League level. He had 18 points, going 4-10 from 3 after a cold start, and the team played well when he was on the floor and terribly when he wasn't. Not sure what skill he will ultimately lean on at the next level, as he seems "just OK" at everything and physically he has zero advantages in terms of length, quickness, or strength.
Minott was a total disaster today. Looked way out of sorts on offense and got in early foul trouble on defense. Fumbled the ball away or couldn't finish on the few attempts he tried to put the ball on the floor to make a move.
Mudiay is a big, physical PG, but his shot is broken.
CJ Elleby had a nice game offensively.

Another loss for our Iowa affiliate, but Wendell Moore Jr. showed out with 26 points & 5 assists on only 13 shots, including going 4-6 from 3.
Mudiay, Dozier, and Garza didn't play. Garza because he's with the big league squad.

How for Minott look if you watched. Not having Garza on that squad really affects that squad.
Also I love Garza he is such a positive teammate on the wolves bench. He really stands out
