Trade Kat for Durant. Jersey can rebuild and we can win now with a more natural lineup

That's a very interesting thought. It would shorten our window but give us a legitimate chance to win a title.

No, and it also wouldn't be Karl-Anthony Towns for Kevin Durant in one-for-one swap, which makes it a bigger no for me.
However, I don't blame anyone who says yes. It's just not the move I would make even if it was available.

I just feel that the trade for Gobert put us in win now mode. Durant matches that intent. He's a better defender than Kat, fits the position without forcing it and is legit 3 pt contributor. He's also been a good teammate and is as consistent as they come. He brings it each and every night. Could Kat and DLO for Durant and Patty Mills be reasonable.

We couldn't do it until the Summer, but lets say we do it in the Summer, it would cost more than Kat so we can't afford it. But let's say they love Kat and agree to do it, Durant is 34 so we would have about a 4 year window to win a championship. One positive would be that Durant could be beneficial in mentoring both Ant and Jaden for future success. One negative, Durant could refuse to come here, and demand we trade him immediately or shortly after coming here.
