It's just pathetic already.

I got the Wolves at 1 game over .500 after doing a quick scan through wins and losses (against sub .500 teams). I think that is really sad they don't show up against losing squads. Oh wait, they are losers themselves now!

Never mind, it's expected.

They're 16-18 vs. 500 and above, and 15-14 vs. below 500.

That's what I got. It felt worse to me especially all the losses to the Detroits of the NBA. It's probably not that far off of "expected" statistically. I would guess they are on the low end though, they should have a few more wins against the bad teams and a few more losses against the winners.

Like I don't think it's necessarily a big problem that I felt it might be.

The team chemistry has been off all year. It boiled over at their players only meeting at the start of the year. None of us really know what's been going on, but there have been plenty of hints. I found this nugget:

https://zonecoverage.com/2023/timberwolves/what-really-happened-in-the-timberwolves-players-only-meeting/

When I read it, I thought I was reading the Onion. Seriously. Here are some of my notes:

* DLO threw out the phase that they are all "a bunch of timmy tommy tangerines"
* Prince started going after DLO
* Naz told DLO to look in the mirror
* DLO believes in spirits, magic, and the occult.
* Rivers has become a very vocal leader for the Wolves this season
* Much of the meeting focused on effort
* The meeting concluded with Karl-Anthony Towns interjecting
* Something about a man named man went by the name Tommy Mayonnaise

Seriously. If that shit if for real, it's some crazy ass stuff. No wonder these guys play like shit. I don't want to make this an anti-DLO post/thread. He's gone and we still playing crappy. I'm just posting to show that there appears to be something "off" with this year's team. They have the talent, but not the chemistry. I'm guessing Finchy is gone if they miss the playoffs. KAT is probably the only guy that can save his job, so we'll find out what KAT thinks of Finchy by how soon (or if) he comes back this year.

Lots of stuff pertaining to DLO!!!!

IDK about spirits and magic, Lots of people do believe in that stuff which is crazy to me because I have zero concrete evidence. But I don't completely think it's impossible wither.

Occults though are simply groups of people who meet in secret and make and execute plans. This of course happens, the debate is how much. For instance both candidates for the POTUS were members of just one tiny fraternity from Yale, they call themselves Skull and Bones. Just think what are the odds that two frat kids from the exact same fraternity would be going against each other? It's in the millions. No matter what happened, the leaders of that fraternity had power in some ways. (Bush versus Kerry)

Do you think you can not go to an Ivey league school or prominent school of some kind, not be a member of these exclusive clubs ("occults" like Freemasons) and become POTUS? IMO, Not a chance. You of course need very other wealthy individuals on your side. You can also simply just call it networking.

People network with other dorks (Bush and Kerry) and they execute plans they made during their talks (occult).

I think there was some stuff going on with DLO and that probably led to the team deciding to move him sooner vs. later i.e. a sign a trade next year. But, clearly all the teams' problems were not DLO as we've seen in the last few games. As others have posted...there is a "watch" on for the next scapegoat. I feel like it might be Finch myself since TC didn't hire him.

You read that blog post and didn't realize it was satire? You have to be smarter than that, respectfully.

If it's satire - he got me and I'm not smarter than that. But I read similar stuff written at the time of the meeting (finger pointing, effort questioned and DLO being part of it). So my point stands, there has been something off with this year's team. Also...just adding "respectfully" to an insult i.e. "you have to be smarter than that" doesn't actually make it respectful. If I got taken, I'll own it. But there have been plenty of things I could rip you on and have let them go (respectfully).

That wasn't an insult, but you can take it that way if you choose. It was an unserious piece of writing. Your activity here would suggest you're far more intelligent than to take that article as serious reporting. Tommy Mayonnaise? Timmy tangerine stuff? Come on now.

Colonel Mustard killed Professor Plum in the dining room with the candlestick. Bazinga!
