DLO has been bad. ANT and KAT have also left a lot to be desired. Gobert is our best player right now, thank god for the trade! ;-)

Not good. Not sure what the hell happened, but he is at an age where his offensive skills should be peaking, not regressing. Let's hope he turns it around.

His play has certainly been a bummer...
Let's see if he brings the skittles tonight...
I think we annoyingly need to give him more time to acclimate, like we are the rest of the team
After that, should we trade him for a pack of skittles?

I just don't think a serious contending team sees him as a starter for a team.

I agree with this take on Russell in today's Strib. He clearly has underperformed this year, but nobody can deny there is latent talent there...if he (or Finchie) can just find a way to channel it. As Rand says, the schedule gets a lot tougher now. I agree that Finchie needs to see whether DLo can step up against tougher competition in the next 10-13 games. If he can, this team can be the 50+ win team several (most?) of us predicted. But if not, Finchie needs to make a change at starting PG before a promising season slips away...that would be a tragedy with all the talent on this roster.

Regardless of how good he may or may not be, the fact that they didn't address PG in the draft looks more and more like a bad move. If he's great, now you have more PG depth. If he's doing what he's doing now, at least you can pivot towards developing your PG of the future because it isn't McLaughlin.

1) I fully expected Russell to have a career year... because he's surrounded by talent and it's a contract year. Instead, he's looking extremely slow and overmatched. Without significant, extended improvement, his play is costing him money.

Unless...

2) He's not playing with much juice or whatever... could it possibly be that the Wolves are hamstrung a bit if they lose him for nothing so he and the team have already basically agreed on an extension that won't be announced until much later in the season.

I thought the idea was that Rudy would bring out the best in DLO.

Dlo's play is why Cam left the board.
J. Wiseman's slow start didn't help either.
