Ant out tomorrow already. There is a chance this could be a season ender for Ant. Hope not.

Good for him and the team, in my opinion. While Minnesota's not a better team without Anthony Edwards, their ball movement on offense certainly was. It also gives Jaden McDaniels another opportunity to prove himself in the starting lineup. With an easier stretch of games coming up, I don't think the Wolves will miss him that much and this might be the best time to sit him down for an extended amount of time. Get well soon, kid.

I also don't think this will be a season-ending injury or condition. It's simply the result of overuse. Perhaps he's played too many games in too short of time. I'd guess that he'll fully recover during the off-season, but the remainder of the season will be about pain tolerance and load management.

From what I am reading it will just be a temporary injury, never a better stretch of games after the All-Star break than now to look to give him some rest

This is a good opportunity for Jalen Nowell also.

I'd like Ant to return to the court as soon as possible. His presence on the court over the next 19 games would likely increase our season-end win total. However, I also agree that his absence has a silver lining as an opportunity for McDaniels and Nowell to expand their roles. I consider both to be really important parts of this team's success over the long haul.

Fortunately DLO and KAT have been cooking of late, so if some of Ant's shots are going to them and we see a bit of mid-season covid Jaylen Nowell, then we should probably be OK. Ant has not been a great player for the better part of a month anyway.

Because we had so many back to backs scheduled this could give him a nice chunk of time. It sounds like with what he is dealing with time is what he needs. Hope he can get around 10 games in before the playoffs but if he sits more than that Im fine with it. Im surprised it took this long. The kid has a nice career ahead of him.

I posted this just because it's never good when our 20 year old stud is dealing with a knee issue. Also Finch said "everything is on the table" with this. So to me that means season ending surgery has at least been discussed. Obviously I want Ant to be healthy going forward but would be a little buzz kill to the season

From what I've gathered, surgery is unlikely treatment for tendinopathy. Usually, rest and strengthening of the muscles is all that's needed. I think they'll give him some time off and then he'll return by the end of the season. He probably won't be playing any back-to-backs moving forward and will likely be limited in terms of minutes he's able to play. I'm not too worried, honestly. Of all the possible knee injuries to have this one seems on the mild side.

Let's hope not. I will say that while I'm as big a Finchy fan as anyone here, I've questioned his decision to keep playing Ant when he was having some issues with his knee. My guess is that Ant is not that hurt though...he looks happy on the bench and mobile when he jumps up to greet teammates during timeouts.

And of course it doesn't matter tonight, because again we're playing a team missing at least 6 players...including two starters. Our beat-up opponents have been a blessing for our win/loss record, but bad for fans who like to see good basketball. I was looking forward to watching Giddey tonight, just like I was looking forward towatching (fill in the blank) in almost every game we've played this season  .
