Rubio was really close to signing there his free agent year so they at least had interest in Rubio

Wait, the Lakers are interested too!? How many damn Centers do they need!
If this is true, the good news is that they recognize they need a legit big man next to KAT that can mix it up in the paint. It may not end up being Turner, but hopefully they ultimately find someone to start halves next to KAT that doesn't get pushed around so easily.

I've mentioned Turner before as a player for the Wolves to target. Statistically he's a terrific defender and very good shot-blocker. He could be that defensive big the Wolves have needed next to the offensively gifted KAT. There are, however, some negatives associated with Turner. First and foremost is his toe issue. He just had toe surgery. Based on what I've read, he might not be ready by the beginning of the season. I've also read that players can have chronic pain after surgery that can impact their play and longevity. Second, he's a remarkably poor rebounder for a player at his size and position. I have some concern about the Wolves, as a fairly poor rebounding team, having a poor rebounder at one of its two big-man positions.
I still like what Myles would bring to the Wolves. But I'd be cautious and I'm not sure how much I'd be willing to give up to get him. If the report is true about multiple teams having interest in him, the Wolves could face a bidding war to get him. That could mean giving up McDaniels to get him, in which case I'd want no part of the deal. If we could get him for Ricky and Culver, then count me in. If we can get him for Beasley and Culver, then I'd be tempted, but I'm not sure. If we'd have to include McDaniels, then no thank you. How about Ricky and Naz? Beasley and Naz?

If we end up with the 2nd or 3rd pick in this year's draft, then I'd be tempted to package that pick with Ricky and Culver for Turner and Indiana's 2022 lottery-protected pick. Would that be good enough for Indiana? It depends on what they think of Mobley, Jalen Green and Jalen Suggs and on what other team would be offering.

Lip, I think Indiana would jump at that offer. However I don't really like it from the Wolves standpoint. If we keep our pick we should try to move DLO if anyone, and then make the pick. And I wouldn't be concerned about McDaniels being moved. Every team in the league wants him, hopefully Gersson realizes what he has.

As you know, I'm in sync with you on preferring to move DLO. I've just accepted that Rosas won't trade him. I think Rosas views DLO as his signature acquisition and I suspect Rosas will dig in on this until he's vindicated (or fired). I also think Rosas is worried about how KAT might react.
If we end up with the top pick, Rosas should just take Cade Cunningham and not look back. But I'm not totally sold on Mobley, Green or Suggs even though I like all three. Green also seems redundant. So if we end up with the 2nd or 3rd pick, I think Rosas should be willing to move the pick for the right player. I think Myles is the right type of player in spite of my misgivings. I'd rather give up the chance to draft Mobley, Suggs or Green than move Beasley. If you're right that Indiana would jump at that offer, I'd probably do it.
I hope you're right about Rosas not moving McDaniels.

I think we need to have an intervention with Lip and his love of Myles Turner. Dude can't help himself. Maybe he has more in common with some GMs than he will admit. ;) Sorry Lip I can't help myself...you know the feeling. Lol
If the Wolves get pick 2 or 3 I hope we shoot higher than Myles Turner. If the guy was healthy maybe but he isn't and he is big that's already had injury concerns and that toe/foot injury as Lip has outlined is legitimately worrisome. I think the Wolves may need to gamble on a player (kinda did that with Beasley already) and if they did that on Turner (injury concerns) then sure but giving up a top 3 pick for him? That's too much. Pass.
As for players we could pick there...I'm not sold on Suggs as a star but I think he could be a really nice player possibly the type of PG this team could really use. I wouldn't hate just taking him if he was the best talent available and figuring it all out. Honestly I'm not even completely sold on Cade at #1 as a star but he would fit really well with the roster if we were in a position to select him.
As for this report? Seems reasonable the Wolves would have interest. Turner is kind of a defensive version of Naz Reid. The Wolves are going to look at multiple options but the League seems to love any guy that might be kinda good that can play PF at a legit starting level. The price for Turner could be pretty high as multiple teams show interest including the Wolves. I'm not interested in getting into a bidding war for him.
