Vote for your choice among the three finalists:

I voted for Monty Williams with Thibodeau as a very close second.
Coaching the Suns to 51 wins in the tough Western Conference is impressive. And while Booker is a star and Chris Paul is a talented savvy vet headed to the Hall of Fame, the rest of that roster isn't all that impressive. You have to give Monty a ton of credit for getting the most out of that team.
Thibodeau certainly deserves serious consideration when you consider how he turned that team around to finish 10 games over .500 with some young talent, but without any established stars. This may have been his finest coaching job in an otherwise impressive career.
Quin Snyder is a terrific head coach. But he had the most talent to work with by far among these three head coaches. He definitely deserves to be one of the three finalists, but he's definitely behind both Thibs and Monty in my view.

I voted for Thibs of the options listed. They didn't add anyone very significant to the roster and he won nearly double the wins of the previous season.
I'm a Monte Williams fan and he absolutely deserves credit for the success the have had both season he has been there. Chris Paul was healthy for 70 games and they won 34 last year despite Ayton missing nearly half the season. It's not really a big surprise to me they were that successful considering they stayed mostly healthy.
If I had a vote that mattered I would be tempted to cast it for Nate McMillan. He took over a decent team and made them very good going what 26-11 after he took over. That's impressive mid-season. We talked a lot about other coaches the Wolves maybe missed out on hiring last offseason but Nate McMillan...damn and initially he didn't even really want the interim job.

Thibs without question. He took a dumpster fire to the playoffs.

Thibs is the worst coach the Timberwolves ever had.
Or something.

Thibs has always made a splash early at each of his coaching stops. And I will give him props for doing a helluva job with the Knicks this year. When the win totals come out next year, bet the under for the Knicks.

Maybe.
He seems to gel well with a certain type of player. Maybe the Knicks are smart enough to know this though... and go out of their way to add those guys to the roster.
His career win totals are impressive... at least away from MN... any way you slice it:
62 - 20
50 - 16
45- 37
48 - 34
50 - 32
---
31 - 51
45 - 37
19 - 21
---
41 - 31
What's even more telling is how quickly he's turned teams around. The Bulls were 41 - 41 before he arrived. They went 42 - 40 after he left.
The Wolves were 29 - 53 before... and 17 - 25 (and worse since) after he left.
The Knicks were 21 - 45 last season and 17 - 65 the previous season.
Minnesota seems to be the outlier here... but even here... he did something with the Wolves no other coach has come CLOSE to doing in 17 seasons. We can all hate his style and his ogre-ness and his GM futility and everything else... but the guy seems to be a solid NBA coach.

I reluctantly have to vote thibodeau, the Knicks were projected to be ass once again this year and now they have home court advantage. I like Monty Williams as well but the Suns were on fire during the bubble last year and added one of the greatest floor raisers in the history of the game to their team.
