They probably were concerned about CP's age. He's 5 years older than Jrue.

The Bucks will recoup whatever draft capital they lose in this deal for Giannis if they can't get it to work so this is a good risk on their part.

I told you guys Jrue was gonna cost a lot to acquire. That's a big time gamble for the Bucks.

Yeah I didn't think of it that way. If Giannis leaves they're screwed anyways so why not try and put the best core around him
