And bet the Knicks win total under this year? Randle isn't what he was last year and Thibs is being Thibs, make a splash your first year and then suffocate the shit out of your team. They are currently out of the playoffs and taking on water.

This seems a bit premature given that their record stands at 11-12 -- just one game back of the eighth-seed and two games behind the sixth-seed. The line for the Knicks was set at 41.5 wins, which isn't too crazy for them to still reach. Both Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett have underperformed to their expectations thus far and Nerlens Noel has played in just a handful of games. I didn't make any bets, but I wouldn't be too nervous or uneasy if I was someone who bet the over on that one.

Thibs has become the rich man's Scott Skiles. He'll get you to the playoffs, but he wears out his welcome so quickly.

If the O/U for a 41 - 31 team was only 41.5 the next season... looks like a lot of people were on the same page with this take. And the 11 - 12 record seems to be following the general consensus.

Yeah, I felt that Thibs got last year's team to drastically overachieve given their talent levels. Good on him. This year they seem to be playing more to their talent (and by the way have the same record as the Wolves, which certainly has more blue chip talent if you look at where KAT, DLO, and Ant were drafted).

True, Vegas knows what they are doing. They definitely had them regressing this year. I should have known they would be on top of it.
