Bill Simmons hasn't watched a single Wolves game in probably five years. Fuck him.

I dont think Simmons is wrong that this team needs to develop Ant and KATs 2 man pick and roll game. DLo has been good for us in many aspects, but Ant ceiling is the highest since KG. Tonight was a good example of taking the good with the bad when it comes to DLo. Its why he is so polarizing, and I like Dlo for the record.

Very encouraging observations from a couple of guys with no real connection to Minnesota. What I think is cool about Ant is how far he's come defensively since just last season. He clearly is not a liability on that side of the floor and can stay in front of almost anyone when he gets into a stance. As his offensive game grows, he could become a 2-way monster in the mold of D-Wade, Kawhi, or Paul George. Still a ways to go though....

Well to be fair I do listen to Simmons because I like the guy he talks sports gambling with. But they did a draft where they picked duos in basketball I believe they picked Zion and lonzo ball over Edwards and Kat.

Simmons has been a dick towards the Wolves franchise for decades. I just don't have any respect for his takes when it's clear that he doesn't actually watch any of the games. Keep in mind, he recently suggested the Wolves should trade for John Wall! It's embarrassing.

Ya. He has been saying the Wolves should panic trade and trade Pat Bev, Prince and a protected pick for wall if I remember right.

My thing with Simmons. I like listening to him but he is uninformed a lot. It's fine if you don't think Dlo is the answer but he just rips him constantly. Saying Dlo is the player he would least want to play with in the NBA, saying his teammates must hate him and in clutch situations saying Dlo just does what he wants. When the ball should be in Ant hands.

I'm cool with people not being a fan but it is not a correct narrative this year for the wolves. Wolves have been terrible with dlo off the court this year and to address the dlo just does what he wants in the clutch. Well it's not accurate and even if it was, dlo should be doing it scoring the most pts in clutch situations this year in the NBA and statistically being the best clutch player the last 4 years

I will also say I'm cool with people making takes on podcasts and TV. I enjoy listening to the conversations. I just get annoyed sometimes. Like ESPN did a segment on the wolves yesterday and the lady ended the segment if the Wolves can figure out their defense they will be good because their offense has been great this year. (What is so backwards on what actually is happening).

Same thing with Dlo same old narrative. Now I am concerned he is having a fantastic year this year and that coinsideds with Dlo eligible for an extension this offseason. Meaning by far his best 2 years as a pro have come when he can make a ton of money and has been average at best in other years. But the narrative of Dlo being bad this year and he needs to go is incorrect in the lense of this season.

Also if you listen to all of the basketball segments on this episode of Simmons podcast. Simmons talks about the warriors and suns game and says it sucks they won't play again for a couple of months. (What if factually incorrect they play on Friday again). Then spends 10 minutes on fake Warriors Miles Turner trades, where there is no legs to this at all, he just liked the idea that KOC brought up on Monday. Now is running multiple segments on a hypothetical trade. Where he wants the thunder to trade 2 unprotected picks, and favors to the Pacers. Thunder get Wiseman and warriors get Turner (tweeted this after the pod).

My favorite segment was this podcast was he said he is predicting someone for ESPN well right a story saying 'are we sure lebron won't finish his career in Cleveland" in the next 3 weeks. Then spends the next 10 minutes discussing this hypothetical article that he made up in his head. It's really amazing.

I listen to the Simmons podcast all 3 times a week. Still think he is super entertaining but man has he lost a step or 10 when it comes to actual knowledge.

Me and my buddy wonder if Simmons was always this bad with his takes or do we have a lot more options now in the NBA podcast world that we realize how little Simmons actually knows.
