Life after PatBev- Hornets GDT

After a true signature win Wednesday against a very good Heat team, we get to find out tonight whether this Wolves team can continue to play excellent defense without its catalyst. Finch will have to decide who he starts in place of PatBev, and arguments can be made for either Wide Load or Jaden. Beasley worked hard Wednesday night and gave signs of shaking off his Wright County Jail rust...regaining is shooting touch is critical for this team's success. And Jaden has been magnificent guarding the opponent's best player after getting subbed in. Still, my choice is to go long with Jaden at SF and moving Ant back to SG. The second unit will be defensively challenged with two of our best defenders not suiting up tonight, but I like WL's scoring potential off the bench rather than in the starting lineup.
Charlotte is relatively healthy, except Miles Plumlee is questionable with a strained calf. Frankly, I really like Jamaican shot-blocking savant Nick Richards though (he also made 7 of his 14 3-pointers in the G League adn 80% of his free throws, so he's not just a rim runner, so I don't know if that helps us much if he doesn't play. I like the Hornets a lot this year, and am a little surprised to see them only a 2 1/2 point favorite at home with Beverley out. This would be a nice win for the Wolves...maybe even more significant than the home win over the Heat...but if I'm betting this one I'm taking the Hornets and giving the points.

But, the Wolves are rolling, and I hope Karl wants to have a statement game with him being pretty fresh and having a poor statistical game on Wed. I expertly put the Wolfies -4.5.

Not to be overlooked, but tonight is the first of a tough back-to-back for Minnesota. They get the Hornets this evening and then the Sixers tomorrow night. I'd be happy with a split, but I think both games are winnable even on the road. I don't really fear this Charlotte team. They're heavily reliant on the three-point shot and they've been inconsistent in that regard. I don't think Miles Bridges will enjoy being matched up with Jarred Vanderbilt for 20-30 minutes and I think Karl-Anthony Towns makes up for his stinker against Miami as the Hornets are really weak on the interior even if Mason Plumlee plays. A win tonight would be playing with house money tomorrow night in my mind so this one is fairly important.

Don't forget that Jaden's brother Jalen plays for Charlotte. He's made some nice strides and is playing well for them off the bench.

Any good places to find a stream for the game for someone out of state?

This works if you're only looking for a replay...I generally watch games the next morning. Maybe someone else can help you with a real time feed.

I
definitely wouldn't recommend utilizing
https://scor.nbabite.com/game/charlotte-hornets-vs-minnesota-timberwolves-live-stream-2/this link for tonight's game. Ahem.

Meant to post this here:
I hope Jaden seizes the opportunity and this becomes our starting lineup. He has to earn it, but would love to start all that length and bring Beverly off the bench

Jaden McDaniels leads the entire NBA in personal fouls with 67 in 453 minutes. Of those that rank in the top-20, McDaniels has played the least amount of minutes. The next closest in minutes played is Jusuf Nurkic (53 personal fouls; 19th) with 466. That's atrocious.
McDaniels is averaging nearly the same amount of minutes per game that he played last year yet averaging 1.0 more foul per game. He's had some bad whistles go against him, but that isn't the only thing to blame. Much like Karl-Anthony Towns in this regard, McDaniels has to avoid the dumb fouls so he can stay on the court. He's the number one contributor to the most foul-happy team in the league. Let's cut down on that.
