Gordon Hayward

Gordon Hayward fractured his right 5th metacarpal. I'm not sure how many metacarpal there are. I'm not even sure I know what a metacarpal is. But I know this isn't good for Gordon or the Hornets. It's like Bud Grant used to say, "it's always the same guys in the training room." He meant certain guys are injury prone while others aren't. Durability is a hugely important attribute for a player and nearly all the greatest NBA players over time have been very durable.

Pretty sure a metacarpal is something to do with thinking about fish. Hayward will be just fine.

Are you saying he's sleeping with the fishes like Luca Brasi?

Love the reference, AVL- one of my favorite scenes in one of my top 3 movies.

That is a great scene. It was the real Abe asking for mercy. He got none, not even for old times sake. :)
