If anyone has time I'd recommend listening to the Xmas edition podcast. It's long but very good. I listened on my way home from Madison today. Nate Duncan breaks down each Xmas day game in detail. Good analysis of the wolves game.

I found it interesting, in breaking down every game they talk about spacing and how individual players and match-ups create spacing.

Our team lacks this so much, we have one shooter on our team! One! That's a problem.

I think Wiggins can be a floor spacer, but nobody can seemingly ever penetrate the defense to pull his guy off him for an open look. I can't really recall Wiggins getting many open spot up opportunities. Most of it seems to be off the dribble which lowers everyone but Steph's shooting percentages.

I think he can be also, given more time. Agree totally with what you said, we don't get many spot up 3's like a lot teams. Lavine's are mostly contested.

Ehh. I'm with you on thinking Wiggins can be a floor spacer. He's just been incredibly inconsistent. He's had hot runs and then he's had blizzard cold runs. It seemed like for the last month or so he was clanking everything from deep, and that includes a bunch of open looks.

For him, specifically, I think sometimes he gets too much elevation on his shot. Like him getting up like he does allows for his shot to be less affected by contests, but I think it throws off the trajectory of his shot. Most times we see him miss long, less times it's left or right.

I find Wiggins still needs to step into his 3 for his proper motion. He isn't great from the flat foot catch and shoot like Zach (or even Towns).

If we had a pick and roll PG who was a shooting threat I think it would give all of our shooters that extra 2 feet to set up how they want. That being said Wiggins should focus as much as possible on getting the same motion with his feet set vs when he steps into a shot.
