GDT: Beat the Shit Out of Phoenix

I'm expecting a blowout win. The Suns suck and they're in development mode. One could argue that we are too, but our talent surpasses theirs at damn near every position. At some point, that has to mean something. We struggled with them earlier this season on their home floor, but we fought back to get a win. I think our guys will have a little extra fight in them after the way they lost to Houston a couple of days ago. Beat their ass. We need a dominant win right now regardless of the opponent.

Pretty big battle for ping pong balls.

The loser might have the league's worst record after tonight...

Ugh, I actually kind of dread these games, because if they lose, it just takes us deeper into the abyss. At least with Houston there was some shred of moral victory we could cling to.

I missed the first Phoenix game, but it sounded like it was one of our better wins...although we needed seldom-used Tyus Jones to bail us out. I agree with Cam that we seem better than the Suns at almost every position, and they are a dreadful defensive team (opponents are making 39% of their 3's!), so this is a game we have to win...and win big. It could be a fun game to watch, because both teams score the ball well but can't stop anybody.

26 point win.

It's time to separate from the very worst NBA teams and cement ourselves in the decidedly mediocre camp.

Yeah, a 26 point win would help raise some of the spirits on this board...like mine. But do we have to establish our ceiling for this year as "decidedly mediocre"? With all the talent on this roster, I have my sights set considerably higher.

I don't really care about style points this isn't college football. Get a win. Any team can win any given night in the NBA. The Wolves obviously aren't some juggernaut and its not like the Suns are devoid of talent. I'm hoping the Wolves keep up the generally positive momentum of the past 3 games with a win whether its ugly as a close win or something more along the lines of a blowout.

Agreed. We need to start getting some W's on the board, no matter what the circumstances are around it.

I agree with the "just win, baby" spirit as we desperately need to throw some W's in the record pronto, but I feel that this team has made serious improvements over the last handful of games, especially on defense. Against what most of us feel like is an inferior opponent, I'd like us to dominate while showing the defensive intensity and focus we've seen lately. Good teams destroy the cellar dwellers. We need to become a good team and this would be a start.

Win, lose, or the very rare tie - Isn't it going to be Andrews' fault that we didn't play better? And won't we want to discuss trading him during and immediately after the contest? I mean this is what's important right?
