Draft goals change?

With DLO in the fold which positional direction should we be eyeing early in the draft? Is it still pg? Could Wiseman be in play giving Towns more time at the 4? Best shooter available?
Assuming we keep our pick.

In think its still a wing. I think a big wing is the scarcest position in the nba.

I would nope it's either a bonafide shooter who also plays D or a big that fits perfectly next to KAT. The team needs both.

Best player available when you're drafting as high as Minnesota is likely to be. The Brooklyn pick could be more of a best player at a position of need. I have my eyes on a number of guys.

If Wisemen is BPA when they pick do u think him and Towns could play in the same front court ?

They are simply not going to draft a big unless it's a big with wing-like mobility and skills. Think LeBron, Giannis, Siakam, Zion etc. Competent backup Centers and traditional bigs can be had very cheaply these days (think Noah Vonleh). Heck, we even got the intriguing Naz Reid as an undrafted rookie on the cheap.
I do think they will still look at PGs, as I'm not sure McLaughlin is the answer as a backup and I think we need to hedge our bets with Russell. And even if Russell works out, he can play off the ball for spurts with another PG.

Personally, I think if Minnesota keeps that pick for themselves, that's the best case scenario -- depending on if Gersson Rosas is open to that idea. James Wiseman is going to be a Defensive Player of the Year type with plenty in his bag offensively.

If wiseman can ne a dpoy type then we make that pick 10/10 and play kat at the 4. The hell with the rosas system, you get that future dpoy type center and pair him with elite offensive players like towns and dlo and you are going to be dangerous.
That or trade wiseman for jarren jackson jr and a future 2021 first. JJJ fits the system on offense and is a near 7ft defensove stalwart. jordan isaac would be an option to trade for as well if we dont land the first pick.
Whatever the case, i want us to adress the future frontcourt mate of kat with our pick. I have no confidence that kat can anchor the defense in a 1-3-1 lineup as the sole big. He need a jjj type who is big and mobile and potentially elite on d and ideally fit the system on offense.
With the brooklyn pick, get the bpa as we need depth at every position.
With whatever cap space we can muster, use it to go after joe harris in free agency. A harris/culver/beasley/okogie wing rotation would be solid and complimentary to kt/dlo.
Kat/dlo/jjj as our top 3 with harris/culver/beasely/okogie as the roation wings and naz/johnson as the backup bigs. the brooklyn pick, sign a backup pg and layman/martin/nowell/spellman/vanderbilt/hermangomez and we have good depth and shooting to properly run our offense.

Yeah, our thinking here is very similar. I'd also add that far too often casual fans believe there is only one way to stretch the defense or space the floor and that's by incorporating more three-point shooting. However, you can also stretch the floor vertically with an athletic lob threat that can roll hard to the rim. We've seen this incorporated many times, but my favorites have been DeAndre Jordan in Los Angeles, Tyson Chandler in Dallas, and Clint Capela in Houston.
You get that same element with James Wiseman -- plus a whole lot more. And when you already have a couple of average-to-below-average defenders in the lineup, a defensive presence like Wiseman projects to be could solve a lot of those woes by himself.
