Is it Possible

I'm just asking it it's possible to pry Kemba Walker away from Boston for DLO. It sounds like there is some disappointment in Kemba from a Boston perspective, and we share the same disappointment in our point guard. I don't think there is much of a market for DLO, but could this be a possibility in your opinion?

I would not even think of doing that with the age of our core group and the health issues with Kemba at his age.

What about health issues with DLO?

I guess it's possible, but I don't see any upside for Minnesota with that move. What's the best-case scenario if the Wolves acquired Kemba Walker?

I would say we get a player with roughly the same contract who is better and more equipped to run Finch's offense. Just my opinion of course.

I like Walker the player better. And for me... he's much easier to root for.
But he is a bit more expensive (unless he opts out after next season)... and something just aint right with him. He says it's mental and not the knee...
Meh. Worth the risk. Do it.

That's a fair opinion, but Kemba Walker turns 31 in May. That combined with his injury problems this year and last doesn't make me confident that he can get back to the level of player he once was in Charlotte. I think the downtrend is here to stay with him.
Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell just turned 25 yesterday and while his best has never been as good as Walker's best, I think he's the better player over the course of their contracts. There's a lot that would have to go right to justify making that kind of a lateral move, in my opinion.

It's an interesting question, but I guess I lean toward Abe's position...do it, but not without reservation. Kemba is out of favor because he really hasn't been very good this year, so any kind of trade for him carries the assumption that this year is an anomaly...and that's a gamble. I also don't like the fact that he is almost as high usage as DLO...not what we want in an offense that is going to feature KAT.
Fun question, but it's not likely to happen because a straight up deal would put us well into the luxury tax because of Kemba's more expensive contract. I also suspect that Finch would be looking for a pass first kind of PG that would maximize KAT's potential if he ever found a trading partner interested in DLO.
Finally, Rosas won't do this deal. He traded away a 1st rounder betting on DLO/KAT working, and in all fairness, that pairing could prove to be successful...we just don't know yet.
So my answer is do it if available and Glen is willing to cough up the tax. But it won't happen for the reasons above.

We suck right now, and are giving up a top pick this year or the next. There is no need to continue to add sunken costs, which Kemba is at this time for this franchise.

Kemba doesn't fit with our timeline.
