"Heard Rui got a commitment in the lottery (Minnesota was the buzz at the Combine) -- usually when you take a commitment you shut down workouts and meetings with teams."

Apparently the Hornets are enamored with rui, maybe this is a trade down ploy.

I doubt rosas gave a promise without securing a coach and gm yet. Unless of course the coaching interviews were just to make saunders look like he beat out better qualified candidates because or was a Taylor mandate to keep him.

I might actually throw up if Rui is our pick on draft day.

I like him, I didn't think he was expected to go that high though.

Cam - You MIGHT throw up if Rui's our pick. I can tell you that I definitely WILL vomit if he's our pick.

It was suggested in that post that he's the Caged Lion 2.0, it's just meant to be!

Yes I'm sure Rosas gave a commitment to a draft pick after getting the Wolves job days ago...sure. No I'm not buying it.

Can I ask why everyone dislikes Rui so much. Seems like physical outline is there. Has a solid skill set just the mental part of the game not there yet. What usually would scare me but he sat out a year in college to learn American Culture and language, so when he gets more comfortable communicating that mental side could increase

I like Clarke a lot more, Rui has a better handle and shot but much worse defensively.
