Around the League

The Kings won again tonight, scoring 145 points. They might be for real. Buddy Hield has been having a heck of a season so far. Tonight he had 27 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Belly had 19 points on 7-11 shooting tonight. The Wolves could have drafted Hield, but drafted Dunn instead. Buddy was my top pick for the Wolves that year and Murray my second pick. And of course, the Wolves had Belly, but Belly preferred to go elsewhere.

Anthony Davis is out with an injury tonight. He's a great player, but he continues to struggle to remain healthy. No matter how good you are, you're no good to your team if you're not playing. All the more reason to appreciate Karl Anthony Towns who plays big minutes and never misses games. So far the Pelicans are hanging in there against Portland, but watching the game, I see Portland eventually winning this one comfrotably.

The Sixers and Celtics won while Milwaukee lost. I think Milwaukee is for real, but the Celtics seem to be getting back on track after their slow start this season. The Sixers beat the Clippers tonight and should be a top 4 team in the East, but I don't see them finishing ahead of the Celtics or Raptors. And not sure they'll finish ahead of the Bucks either. They need Jimmy. Let's make a deal. :)

Coaching matters.

Look at what bud is doing in Milwaukee or joerger in Sacramento or pop does every year.

Our players just arent put in great positions to excel. Kat would be dominant under a better system and coach as would wiggins (not dominant, but better).

We are like the Jason kidd Milwaukee bucks; now we just need to find our budenholzer.

The Kings are 6-3

Last year the Magic and the Grizzlies started 6-3
Magic ended with a record of: 25-57

I can attest that Bud has totally changed that Bucks team. They are shooting and making a ton of 3's, moving the ball, and playing fun basketball. Going to be a factor in the East this year.

Man, the wizards are a hot mess.

They are getting blown out at home and are lifeless.

As much as we need a break from butler, the wiz need to dismantle that team more.

Some fun tweets to add to the Wizards tonight.

"Bradley Beal just grabbed the clipboard from Scott Brooks during the timeout & went to the bench to discuss a play with his teammates. Dwight Howard leaned in to add his thoughts."

Which leads to this terrific GIF

Donovan Mitchell left the game tonight with an ankle injury and he missed the previous game wit that bad hammy. Utah was struggling a bit before that but it got worse after that. It wasn't as bad as Mason Plumblee's FT stoke tho...my goodness.

And now he is back!!! But the Nuggets ended up winning easily and the vaunted Jazz have the same record as the Wolves. Meanwhile the nuggets are playing very well and making me look bad for saying they didn't improve. The thing is that they are playing without Barton and IT hasn't played yet and Millsap has been not that great. It's more their young players stepping up.
