NBA Players Most Likely to Be Traded

Here's my list of players likely to be traded this summer:

1. Bradley Beal. Based on recent reports, I think it's highly likely that Bradley Beal will be traded this summer. The Wizards front office execs have to realize that it's time for them to start a full-scale rebuild. Now that Beal has apparently said he's open to being traded, I'd be surprised if he's not moved. Teams positioned to acquire him include the Warriors and Knicks. The Warriors could build an offer around the #7 and #14 picks in this year's draft, along with Wiseman. That would be a pretty enticing core package for a rebuilding Wizards team. The Knicks could offer Barrett and one or both of their two 1st round picks this year, possibly along with other assets. The Knicks actually have the cap room to trade for both Beal and Westbrook. Barrett and picks would be the key to acquiring Beal, while cap relief for the Wizards would be the key to acquiring Westbrook. Putting those two guys together with Randle, Quickly and others would make them a formidable team in the east.

Sixers are probably on the phone offering Simmons. Honestly the Warriors would be a good spot for Simmons to end up at. They already have 2 HOF guards and Wiggins. ;) Beal doesn't seem like a great fit there but I agree they do have some assets to offer to gain some win now players and a rebuilding team could do worse than have to take back Wiggins. He is only signed for 2 more years. So a year from now he could actually be an asset as an expiring deal. Also he just turned 26 and just turned in his most efficient season of his career.

Regardless Beal asking to be traded is something that will shake things up in the league and could open up an opportunity for the Wolves.

Two players who I expect to be traded are Kyle Kuzma and Eric Bledsoe. I think Marvin Bagley is likely gone too.

I agree that all three of these guys will likely get traded this summer.

I see Simmons ultimately getting dealt either to Portland for Lillard or Washington for Beal. Both swaps make too much sense for neither of them to happen. In either case, the Sixers will have to give up more than Simmons, but there are lots of different combinations of players and picks that could make either swap work.

Portland simply seems stalled with the Lillard McCollum combo. Lillard would be the perfect fit with Embiid while Simmons would well with McCollum. Portland would have to get more than Simmons in return for Lillard, but there's a deal there somewhere between these two teams.

I thought the Wizards should have traded Beal last summer to start a rebuild. This past season validated my view that the Wizards have reached a point where they're simply not going to be able to build a contender around Beal. Simmons and picks would be a good foundation for a Wizards rebuild while Beal provide the Sixers with the dynamic scoring guard they need next to Embiid.

I'm not sure Simmons and Nurkic is a good pairing.

Good point, Monster. If the Blazers did a Lillard, Simmons swap, they'd probably have to make other roster adjustments.

Ive already made the point that we dont have enough for Simmons, but if Lillard was the swap that would be way too much for Portland to give up. McCollum and another asset would be the play for Simmons if I was Portland. I know Lillard has whined about wanting Portland to get better and seems like he might be planning his exit but hes a way better asset the Simmons.

Would anyone else have interest is a Rubio/Kuzma swap?

I'm not big on most of the proposed trades I see floated online but the Google machine floated this one to me last week and my immediate reaction was "yes."

It's a nominal upgrade from Juancho that allows us to develop Sleepy at the 4 and shop a reasonably attractive Juancho contract.

I've always felt Kuzma has underperformed, and while he would still be a 3rd/4th option in most circumstances I love his length and scoring prowess (as well as rebounding) alongside Beasley on the 2nd team once McDanial develops

I would think we would have to add something more to make it work plus I doubt that the Lakers would want to take on more Salary this year. Im curious would you consider trading Beasley in a deal for Kuzma? Like you I had actually been thinking about Kuzma as a option at PF this weekend.
