No official update on Jaden McDaniels yet.

McDaniels did get an MRI today. The team will be releasing a statement on the injury here shortly. Sounds like it may be more serious than your run of the mill ankle roll.

Per Dane Moore.

This would be a huge blow to the Wolves

Jaden Mcdaniels will be revaluated in 2 weeks with a right ankle sprain. Sucks he will miss this time but at least he should be back for the play in. Need Vando to be back now because they need a big defensive wing

Fantastic news! With how long it took I was bracing for something bad that might
have even lingered into next year

That sucks, but it's not a crippling blow to the Wolves or the rest of their season. Let him sit for the next several weeks and then ease him into the post-season.

This should result in more playing time for Jaylen Nowell and Taurean Prince. That's not the worst thing.

The real bonus is this may give Naz some more time to learn to play next to KAT.

Hopefully he recovers well over that time and is ready for the playoffs. It's a shame that he got hurt because it seems he was really playing well. It's not a small loss for the Wolves.

I agree that Prince and Nowell will likely get more minutes but we may even see Okogie or even Layman get a few minutes at times.

This is the time for Prince to step up and get himself a better payday for next season.

Most of us here is disappointed with Prince this season. He has been playing better the lst 2 months but he is looking at a min salary - 5mil a year at most with his performance so far.

With jmac injury, he looks to be the guy to get those minutes and if he performed at a high level and had a good playoff run. He may be looking at a 5-8m a year payday. I expects him to play really hard and dialed in the rest of the season.

I have been pleased with Prince this year and I am pretty sure I am not alone. Prince has been playing well since December and is already looking at the salary you suggest. Since December he has a true shooting percentage of 63%. He is on pace for a career high in FG% and is blowing away his career high shooting from 2 point shots by hitting nearly 57% of those. If anything Prince may have a chance to solidify himself as a guy that's a possible full mid-level signing.

Couldn't agree more, Monster. Some of us talked about Jaden not seeming to take a step up from his rookie year earlier in the season, but he has been invaluable the past couple months. He's third in minutes on the team since the break and shooting 52.6/38.3/84.6. And with PatBev and Vando both looking a little banged up to me on defense, Jaden is the only T-Wolf I really like on defense. Prince is the obvious beneficiary of his minutes, but that's a huge dropoff on defense. I agree, Monster, that JO will get some minutes now...he's our best (only?) option to shore up a defense that has fallen far behind our elite offense recently.

And yeah, let's hope he's back for the play-in...

People have talked about the defensive drop off. I want to mention here a factor of why the Wolves have been doing well in offense and defensive rating recently is other team have had injuries (wolves have missed some guys recently too though). Still the Wolves are 11th overall in defensive rating. Since January 1st they are 13th. February was the bad month which represents the defensive drop off as they were 25th that month. In March they are #1 in defensive rating and a ridiculous overall 18 net rating. They have had an easier schedule so we will see what happens going forward the rest of the season.

I was explaining to my friend who went to the Spurs game how the Wolves have exploded offensively the past few months. I laid it out for him when he was surprised when I said the Wolves were the highest scoring team in the league. They went from being 23rd in offensive rating to basically statistically the best offensive team in basketball the last few months. It's also led to winning. Overall since January 1 the Wolves are 24-11 the sixth highest winning percentage in the NBA over that time. They are now 9th in the NBA in net rating.
