Wolves vs wounded Lakers GDT

With the Clippers and Suns coming up in the next 5 days, this seems to be the one chance for our hapless squad to avoid a 9-game losing streak and a 3 -10 start to the season. And for the 11th consecutive game, the NBA scheduling gods are doing their damnedest to hand us a win. Once again we have been given a gift of playing a team missing their best player, and we get a bonus gift with the Lakers having 4 other players out and their second best player (Davis) playing with an injured thumb. Austin Reaves has been a pleasant rookie surprise for the Lakers this year, so his hammy injury improves our chances.
So what do the Lakers have left who can play tonight? They have Davis, but he has the afore-mentioned bad thumb. They have Westbrook, but he has been positively dreadful this year. With his 47.7% TS% and his 5.3 turnovers per game, the Wolves want the ball in his hands as often as possible. But they do have the resurgent Carmelo Anthony and he is having a terrific season in his almost 30 MPG off the bench...I look for Jaden to be on him when he enters the game.
So even with all those injuries, the Wolves are 2-point underdogs. But as I said, the scheduling gods want them to win this one, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them steal one in Staples Center.
Go Wolves...let's end the streak!
