Other than Kg what player drafted by the TWolves met or exceeded expectations in the 30 some years of existence?

Edwards has exceeded my expectations already. There are two reasons:

1. My expectations were low due to all the talk about the top of this draft being relatively weak relative to typical draft classes.
2. The comparisons to Wiggins. My biggest issue with Wiggins is it never felt like he gave a crap about the game, so far Edwards at least gives the impression that he does.

Oh, and Kevin Love most definitely exceeded my expectations.

Take all of that, and every other post I make with a truckload of salt, i don't follow college hoops so my opinion pre-draft is almost entirely formed by reading this board. I don't know much about the intricacies of the game, so my opinion post-draft is almost entirely formed by reading this board, and the facial expressions of the players when they suck! LOL

I would say Okogie has met his expectation based on where he was drafted.

I would start with Marbury.

2008 draft.

OJ Mayo hype machine was in full effect and overdrive. Bandwagon bus was jam packed. Eager fans were even hanging on top of the bus for dear life.

And with the 3rd pick, Minny selects OJ Mayo! Yes!! <Pumps fist in the air; screams unintelligible sounds>

And Minny later trades him for Kevin Love?! "Who?" "Wut?" "Why?" <Sad Wolf noises>

And a shout out to the old ESPN board. One of the posters mention that Kevin Love is not your average, pudgy, can't hoop basketball player. Poster gives a good analysis of Kevin Love, and summarizes that he is legit.

Of course Love was not the transcendent player in the mold of KG, but it was an interesting turn of events going from consensus pick of OJ Mayo to Kevin Love.

1. Wally Z -- Unfortunately, took him down fairly early in his career.

2. Marbury -- Unfortunately, he didn't want to stay here out of jealousy over KG's contract.

3. Okogie -- He's certainly lived up to expectations for a #20 pick. I had higher expectations for him coming out of college based on his freakish length and athleticism as well as his 38% three-point shooting in both of his college seasons and his consistently good free-throw shooting. I still think he has significantly more upside. But he won't reach his potential playing PF

So it's a short list.

Doug West was taken #38.

Have you seen the market performance lately?!? All those "Cash Consideration" picks have way out performed expectations! :)

I think there is an argument for Pek, Rasho, and The Rhino.

Most on this board thought Al Thornton would have a better career than Corey Brewer. Brewer seems to have exceeded those expectations.
