Not even close. I'm not 100% against trading towns eventhough it will never happen. But the wolves can get a lot more than that offer.

That would be the final nail in the coffin for me as a Wolves fan. It's not even about trading Towns -- there's an argument that the Wolves might have to go that route anyway down the road -- but for me that proposed package is far below what I think he's worth on the trade market.

I don't think there's a perfect trade partner at the moment, but Phoenix could potentially be the team that would have the combination of young assets and a suitable scenario for making an acceptable offer for Towns in the future -- should the Wolves find themselves in the position to deal him rather than build around him.

Thats a horrible return, not even kahn could have dreamed up something that bad.

Any kat trade has to bring in a young elite prerimeter player.

Yes, I'd trade KAT for the right package, but agree with the others that this one woudn't work.

As Cam said, it would have to involve getting some young perimeter player in exchange as a centerpiece. Booker, Mitchell, Jaylen Brown....something along those lines + another good role player and/or draft picks.

I can't imagine any plausible offer for Towns that makes sense. He is only the second player in the Wolves 30 year history that you can potentially build a championship team around and on top of that, he likes Minnesota and the Wolves organization.

Agreed and he's the only great 3P shooter. You keep those silly people! Imagine a legit wing who could distribute? The paint is WIDE OPEN because KAT takes the big out. No one is there to defend. Easy dunks and layups. KAT is the modern NBA big, ideally he would also defend a tad better, but who can complain. To run a modern NBA offense you need a KAT. Every single NBA team would love to have him.

We'll see if Ryan and Rosas can ultimately surround the team with better players or not. That is the question!

This franchise can't trade Towns for more promise. That's a road taken ten too many times.

The rub, as mentioned, is finding a team willing to trade a like-talented perimeter player who's already established for Towns. (Or close... with picks) There aren't (m)any guys out there where it makes sense for both sides.

Could they get another 1st for next year too? The Wolves could have 2 of the top five picks in this draft.
Draft one of Edwards / Anthony/Ball then draft Wiseman.

Pg Edwards/Anthony/Ball
Sg Barrett Culver Okogie
Sf. Wiggins
Pf Randle, Covington
C Wiseman

We could get more than that easily for Towns based on the Anthony Davis and Paul George trades.
