Doesn't change much. We will be either the 11th or 10th pick lotto odds.

On the bright side, Wiggins had a good game. Maybe somebody will be convinced he is turning the corner... Hopefully someone outside the organization!!! ;-)

I was thinking the same thing. The goal has to be improving Andrew's trade value. Maybe there's anoth David Kahn out there running an NBA front office who will see in Wiggins what the real David Kahn saw in Darko. :)

No I don't think I would. By the time Wall is healthy (if) you get to pay him North of 40 million a year and he will be nearing 30. Of course it could work out well enough if he stays healthy but...that seems pretty risky. How many knee surgeries has Wall had now?

Just to put it all in perspective Wall is going to be making over 10 million more than Wiggins the next 4 years. If Healthy Wall would be worth that extra money but if not...10+ million might be able to get you a pretty good player. At the end of Wall's contract he will be 33? Wiggins will be 28. I guess one angle would be if Wall couldn't play anymore you could wipe out his salary in terms of the cap. That seems like a bit of a stretch to put it in the positive column for a trade based on a big money contract.

Monster - I agree with you on this. I couldn't even seriously consider it. I'm curious to see whether anyone on this Board would do that deal.

I absolutely would trade Wiggins for Wall. A healthy Wall is better than a healthy Wiggins. 70% of Wall gives more effort than 100% of Wiggins. A healthy Wall gives this team some credibility at PG. The downside short term is that he's out most of next year, but I hate to break it to you guys, we're not making the playoffs next year, so a deal like this frees up lots of time for them to develop more guards.

The fear Glen has is that he'd deal Wiggins and then he becomes the player we wanted him to be, and to that I say I'll take my chances because right now it doesn't seem like it's gonna happen here. I'm not gonna be fooled by these last couple of weeks. If Glen is that afraid, then he needs to figure what it is about the Wolves' player development that absolutely sucks and must be fixed. Wall has his risks and his contract stinks too, but personally I've thrown in the towel a long time ago on Wiggins. No amount of belly rubbing, back massaging and soft speaking is gonna get him to find that extra gear.

It's obvious I'm not a Wiggins fan. But I woudn't trade him for John Wall.

1) Lost season in 2020. Sunk costs.
2) It's not a broken leg. Or even an ACL. It's an achilles tendon. How many players have come back from that injury to the level they were at previously? How many were guards? How many were PGs whose main assets were speed and explosiveness?
3) Wall came into last season dogged by questions of commitment + conditioning. We saw what happened.
4) The Wizards, for as lousy as they've been this season, have been better without Wall. (11 - 21) vs. (21 - 26).
5) The money. All that money.
6) We know for certain John Wall will never get better. There is still fleeting hope that Wiggins can.
