Thibs is the Rose whisperer. Derrick was great for us. Would like to see some playoff ball for Rose.

Thibs is all about winning and he gets the most out of Rose. I like it.

Derrick Rose still has a lot of game left. It's a good deal for the Knicks who are definitely in the running for a playoff birth. But it is interesting to see Thibodeau always pursuing the players from his glory days with the Bulls. I don't know how much Taj is helping the Knicks, but Derrick Rose will be a nice addition and will definitely improve their lackluster offense.

I honestly think a serious part of that equation is the team's youth. Thibodeau wants things done a particular way -- his way -- but I think he knows these young players aren't going to adapt to his style overnight so he brings in veterans that he's coached before to help ease that learning curve. It may have or may not value, but if that's the thought process he has then I can certainly understand it.

Cam you might be right about Thibodeau's thought process in pursuing vets he coached with the Bulls. Thibodeau's stubborn rigidity is both his strength and his weakness as a head coach. And while it's somewhat amusing to see him seemingly obsessed with pursing his old glory day players, I can't argue with the results. Taj Gibson and Derrick Rose played really well when they were here and Rose is currently playing at a pretty high level. I have no doubt he'll help the Knicks win.
