Likely Draft-Day Trades

We've already had a flurry of pre-draft trade activity involving the Celtics, Sixers, Lakers, Nets, Hawks and Hornets. No news today of any more trades, but there's lots of talk involving Butler, Paul George, Pat Beverley, and D. Jordan among others.

So the question of the day is this: What significant trades do you anticipate happening tomorrow leading up to and during the draft?

I'm guessing the following will happen:

Chicago will Butler to the Celtics in exchange for the Nets' 2018 first round pick, the Clippers lottery-protected 2019 1st round pick, the Wolves 2017 2nd round pick, the Cavs 2017 2nd round pick and Terry Rozier.

I'm sure there will be other deals as well, but I don't think the Clippers will find a deal for D Jordan. I suspect the Rockets will do a deal or two tomorrow involving Anderson and possibly Beverley to clear cap space. Beyond that, I'm not sure.

What do you all think?

I think Boston would have to give up Brown or 3 to get Butler. I don't see them taking back 1 guy and a bunch of picks when Butler is under contract and isn't at risk of leaving this summer.

Tough to say. Can't say I'm impressed with any packages that have been floated for George. If the Bulls sit around for another season then they're in the same mess the Pacers are in this off season.

Butler is in a great market and he can get paid big time on his next deal if he makes another all-NBA (super max extension would kick in that only the Bulls could offer). PG wants to leave a small market to go to a big market. I don't think they are the same situation. That could change, but on the face I think the Bulls have a much better chance of keeping Butler.

Trade 1: Wolves will trade down and pick up an additional 1st rounder like they did in 2013 (#9 Trey Burke for #14 Bazz and #21 Dieng).

Trade 2: Wolves package one of their now two first round picks with a player from their current roster to acquire a vet starter.

Boston doesn't offer enough because they're hard after Hawyard and Griffin, Cle talks falls apart amid Lebron rumors, and the Wolves end up trading Dunn +7 for Jimmy Butler

Yeah, no way they trade to the Celtics without a guaranteed asset like 3 or Brown. Who knows what happens in FA/further trades with the nets, that pick next year is too much of an unknown. I'd guess it falls closer to the 5-10 range as they have no incentive to tank.
