So it's been far too long since I've read Rubio rumors on this forum.
But I read something today that indicates the Mavs are interested in a "pass-first" PG, specifically Rubio... along with Frank Nraoeraricsshiki in the draft.

So what if they call for Rubio and the rights to swap #7 and #9.

Anybody bite... if the right sweetener(s) is in the mix? And what would it be? Curry? Powell? Other?

I don't like their roster all that much. A unprotected future first would be sweet because I think they're going to decline and I'm not sure Carlise will endure the losing.

#7 and Rubio for #9, Powell, and (Noel or Matthews + Liggins).

Why would the Wolves be giving up 7 in this scenario? Rubio for 9 would be the starting point, followed by what else ya got Cuban?

Rubio for 9 would be great. There is no "what else ya got" in that scenario

Don't discount that Dallas have been after Ricky for years and I feel like their cap is tied up. The Wolves would need to take on some equal salary to make it work. Plus the Wolves may essentially be ceding a playoff spot to Dallas in this scenario if they dont land one of those stud free agents: Teague, Hill, or Holiday.

What else ya got Cuban?

In today's PG-heavy + promise of hope + shooting is key NBA... Rubio isn't fetching a #9 by himself.

I wish this was like baseball where we could trade Ricky and 7 for 9 and Harrison Barnes and Cuban pays for $10 million/year of Barnes' contract. Otherwise the sweater would be a freshly signed Nerlens Noel which can't happen before the draft. I'd be on board if we got OG and Noel for Ricky and whoever they want at 7, pending Isaac isn't available at 7. Then I'm just taking Isaac.

So the Butler trade talk has jumped to the forefront, including interest from the Wolves. So now we can make up all sorts of new trade ideas.

I wonder what Chicago's feelings are towards Rondo? If they prefer to move on, maybe something like this:

Rubio, Dunn and #7 for Butler and Rondo?

Would they insist on Wiggins and #7 for Butler? Or is Wiggins completely off the table?

It seems like Chicago could get a pretty nice return for Butler...

Anything minus Wig and Kat for Butler is fine by me.
