Question of the day: If Jimmy Butler were out the rest of this season, where would the Wolves end up in the Western Conference standings this season assuming no major trades by the Wolves?

Given that Boogie is down for the season, I would still see them making it with a 5th or 6th seed. OKC would pass them (still might) as well as Portland.

I voted fifth, but that's in hopes that we keep getting a focused Andrew Wiggins.

I have to ask, what is the purpose of this poll? We all know that without Jimmy Butler the season is lost even if they were to make the playoffs. This just seems like another exercise of self-torture.

We are Minnesotans. We live believing the most likely scenario is the worst case scenario....then when the best case scenario doesn't come to fruition we justify our negativity!

I'm beginning to think Wiggins has, in fact, turned the corner. His on-ball defense has been consistently good almost every game so far this season. And after one bad game against the Warriors, he came back with a good one last night. Even in the Warriors game he had 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block. So he's had a long string of good games, doing more than scoring. I've gotten my hopes up before about Wiggins, but things seem different now.

I think we'd miss the playoffs. The Western Conference has been coming on and now the 8th seed is two games above .500. Our defense absolutely falls to pieces without Butler, which is a shame.
